Saving Blu (Kings Reapers MC #4) - Nicola Jane Page 0,65

of the dining table.

“Why are you always yelling,” she mutters. “Just ask a question instead of shouting.”

“You’d be yelling if you had as much stress as me,” mumbles Riggs, pouring himself a black coffee.

“Maybe they went for a run or something,” says Leia with a smirk.

Riggs glares at her. “Maybe your boyfriend wants to spend another night in my cellar?” She pokes her tongue out.

Anna joins us and Riggs snatches up his coffee. “I’ll be in my office,” he snaps, ignoring his wife and storming out. Anna takes a seat, oblivious to me, Leia, and Frankie all staring at her. When she realises, she gives us a weak smile. “We argued,” she explains.

“Again,” says Frankie. “That man is testing my patience.” She storms out the kitchen.

“Are you okay?” I ask Anna.

“Yeah, I’m fine. It’s a regular thing these days. Never mind me, how’s you?” she asks, placing her hand over mine.

“I’m fine. A little groggy but thankful I wasn’t seriously hurt or worse,” I say.

“We could start a club,” says Leia. “Or write a book. Who’d believe the shit we’ve been through,” she says.

“It comes with this life,” I say.

We hear yelling and follow it out into the main room, where Riggs is pacing back and forth. Chains, Blade, and Blu stand before him like condemned men with a small blond female hiding behind Blade. “I want answers, now!” yells Riggs.

“I’m taking no responsibility for her,” says Chains, pointing to the woman. “Blu told Blade to deal with her,” he adds.

“I did deal with her. I brought her back here,” says Blade.

“That’s not what I fuckin’ meant and you know it,” says Blu.

“She’s a girl,” hisses Blade. “If you’re so brave, you do it,” he adds, holding a knife out for Blu to take.

“ENOUGH!” roars Riggs. “Who is she?”

“She’s a club girl,” says Blade. “From Cobra’s MC,” he adds quietly.

“Jesus Christ,” groans Riggs. “Why the fuck is she here?”

“She had nowhere to go,” says Blade.

“She also witnessed Cobra’s death,” adds Blu.

Riggs grips his head in his hands and crouches to the ground. “Someone tell me what the fuck you’ve done,” he mutters.

“He needed to go,” says Blu. “We couldn’t risk him leaving London without paying for what he’s done.”

Riggs stands and gets in Blu’s face. “Did we not say that we’d handle it? That he’d pay?” he hisses.

“Yes, Pres,” says Blu.

“Do you not answer to me now you’re mafia?” snaps Riggs.

Blu shuffles uncomfortably. He hates what Riggs is implying. “I’m a Kings Reaper,” he says. “Always.”

“What the fuck am I gonna tell the cops when they come here because we’ll be first on their fuckin’ list of suspects!” he growls.

“We had the clean-up team come and get rid of the evidence,” says Chains.

Riggs turns his attention to him. “Did you now? Well, aren’t you clever for thinking of everything.”

“No dead body, no crime,” shrugs Blade.

“You brought me back a fucking witness!” yells Riggs. “No dead body, but a fuckin’ witness to the whole thing!”

“She won’t say anything,” says Blade. “She’s good.”

Riggs shakes his head in disbelief. “I can’t deal with you idiots right now. Get out my sight. Put the girl in the cellar until I’ve figured out what the fuck to do with her.”

Heaven. After the last few days, that’s the only way to describe being alone and naked with Gia. It’s not like other times. I’m taking my time to explore her body, taste every inch of her perfect skin. I move back up her body, kissing and licking. She wraps her arms around my neck and I kiss her slowly as I enter her. She arches her back off the bed, moaning in my ear. I convey the way I feel about her by making love to her.

Afterwards, she lays her head against my chest. “I have to go home tomorrow. Mum is flying back and she’s been worried,” she says.

“We’ll go visit,” I say.

“I can’t stay here forever,” she says, a small laugh escaping her.

“When we’re married, you’ll be here,” I say.

She glances up at me. “A lot’s happened, Blu. Hannah and Molly need you and—”

“And I’ll take care of them, but I meant what I said before. You’re mine. Vinn’s fine with it.”

She sits. “Maybe I’m not.”

I roll my eyes. “I’m too tired to play games, baby. We’ll talk in the morning.” I close my eyes, hoping to god she’ll leave it for tonight but deep down I know she ain’t gonna. Just like predicted, she stands. I open one eye. “Don’t fight me on
