against my womb.

“You’re so fucking gorgeous,” he growled. “Your body is so greedy. You’re tightening for me to empty into you, aren’t you? You want that, don’t you? You need my scent deep against that greedy womb. Tell me you’re mine, Aria. Tell me, or you won’t get what you want from me.”

I lifted my hands, curling them around his cheeks as I brought his mouth to mine. “I’m yours. I am all yours. Mark me, Knox. I need you. I need you so badly right now.”

“Good girl,” he growled, picking me up until I was sitting up against his chest. The position forced me to take him deeper, and I exploded around him, holding onto his shoulders as my mouth brushed against it.

Knox reached for my hair, pulling my mouth away to crush against his. He kissed me like a starving man, and I was the air he needed. He didn’t fuck me hard. It was slow and sensual. His mouth, on the other hand, was ravenous and brutal as he claimed me. His arms cradled me like I was something precious, instead of his enemy.

“Knox,” I whispered, and he slammed me down, coming hard as he rattled loudly. Purring escaped my lungs before I could stop it, and everything within me unraveled while I held onto him, knowing he wasn’t finished yet. “I’m yours.”

“You’re damn fucking right you are, Little Monster.” Knox laid me down, peering into my eyes as he moved feverishly. He destroyed me with every thrust as he watched me become nothing more than ruins.

My entire body purred loudly for him to continue. My core clenched wantonly, needing all he could give me. My lungs vibrated with the loud purr that filled the space between us. His own added to it as a fire burned in the ocean waves of his gaze. I pushed against him, rocking my body with a violent need that ripped through me. I rattled, and Knox smirked as I opened my mouth, continuing to rattle until he joined me. Sliding his mouth over my shoulder, he sank his teeth into my flesh. I screamed in shock as pleasure turned violent, and his teeth sank deeper into my shoulder. It wasn’t like the other marks. This one went further into my skin until teeth marked bones, and then a powerful orgasm followed it. I mewled, whimpered as he held me there, submissive to his dominance as his beast added his mark to my soul.

Knox didn’t stop biting my shoulder. He continued until all I could do was lay there as he licked and bit me repeatedly. When everything threatened to turn violent again, he turned me over, spreading my legs and sinking his teeth into the other shoulder while taking me from behind. My ass moved, meeting every thrust, even as I lay there with my head turned, baring my throat to him.

It wasn’t until his mouth brushed against my throat that Knox paused, and his lips stalled. He returned his mouth to my shoulder, kissing it where the flesh had already healed from him, tending it gently. He sank his teeth into it again, purring loudly until I answered it, feeling his mouth curve into a smile at the sound.

“You’re dangerous, Aria,” Knox whispered against my shoulder, tensing behind me as he sent hot spurts of his need into my body. “So fucking dangerous,” he groaned, pulling my body against his before he curled me into his arms.

“And why is that?” I asked softly.

Knox didn’t reply. Instead, he purred softly, holding me like I mattered. As if he’d forgotten the past and his mission to destroy everyone I loved. It was a glance into what could be if we stopped fighting each other. I wouldn’t, though, not until I made him see that not all witches were bad.

Knox had witches here that he trusted enough to place magical tattoos onto his flesh, so why not others? I just had to reach him and make him see the error of his ways. I wasn’t the dangerous one here; he was because tonight he’d shown me what it meant to be his, and I craved it even knowing it wouldn’t ever work out. Not as I wanted it to, anyway.

At the end of the day, we were enemies, and Knox wouldn’t ever let his ghosts find peace to give whatever was happening between us a real chance.

Chapter Forty-One

For days we remained inside the cabin, never leaving other than to bathe or eat.
