a couple of beds in here, so I’m sure you’ll make it work. I’ll have someone come and let you know when it’s dinner time, which will give you time to eat before going back to the hospital.”

“Thanks, man,” Saint answers him as we all make our way into the basic looking room with a small attached bathroom and two king-sized beds.

“I’ll have a prospect run up with your stuff if you wanna give me the keys,” Halo offers.

Saint hands him the keys as I walk over to the nearest bed and face plant on it.

“I don’t suppose you have a prospect who would drive it back to Vegas, do you?” Saint asks him.

“Jarvis is just the guy,” Halo answers with a gleam in his eye, making me think someone had done something to piss the guy off.

“Wait, how will he get home?” I ask, feeling bad for the guy.

“That’s for him to figure out. Being a prospect means you need to show you can think on your feet, and if you can’t, then you can fuck off,” Halo says succinctly.

“Well, okay then,” I reply as I roll over. He offers the guys a nod and leaves.

“Okay, let’s wait for the prospect to bring our stuff up, then we can crash,” I mumble, before burying my head in the pillows. If anyone says anything after that, it’s lost on me.

Chapter Thirty-Seven

Reign

“Foods up,” a voice yells through the door, followed by a loud knock, making my eyes snap open.

A body stirs behind me, so I lift my head and see Bates wrapped around me, with Saint sprawled out on the other bed behind him. Priest is asleep in front of me, snoring lightly, so I poke him gently, laughing when he jumps.

“Someone knocked to say the food is ready,” I say quietly.

“Jesus, I must have been more wiped out than I realized if you, the coma queen, heard it and I didn’t.”

I poke the smart ass again, but harder.

“Hey.” He laughs before kissing me gently and climbing off the bed.

I roll over to wake Bates but find him staring at me.

“Hey, princess, food time.”

He rolls over but not off the bed, on top of me.

“Squishing me,” I gasp.

“What will it take for you to stop calling me that?” he asks with a calculating look in his eye.

“Hmm... I don’t know. It kind of suits you. I guess we’ll have to come up with an alternative.”

“Oh, this oughta be good,” Saint comments from the other bed.

I smile at the sound of his voice. “You could always help me,” I offer as he climbs off the bed and heads to the bathroom as Priest walks out of it.

“I think it will pale in comparison to anything you could come up with,” Saint calls over his shoulder.

“What’s this now?” Priest asks, shoving Bates off me and pulling me to my feet.

“Bates wants a new nickname,” I inform him, grabbing my backpack from beside the door.

He shakes his head and laughs. “Some people never learn.”

“Nothing could be as bad as princess,” Bates complains.

“Challenge accepted,” I reply sweetly, swapping places with Saint when he’s finished.

When we have all freshened up, we make our way downstairs to the bar area where the tables are full of people eating. Luna is in the corner, and as soon as she spots us, she waves us over. We move toward her and her guys as everyone turns to watch us. Or me, at least. It’s like being the new kid at school again.

“You’d have thought I was walking around naked with the way everyone is looking at me,” I say to Luna as a way of greeting.

“They’re all a bunch of horn dogs, but it’s more than that. They’re curious about the woman who won over the top dogs,” she points out.

“I’m just me. I’m not anything special,” I tell her as I take the seat next to hers, the guys taking the last remaining seats beside me.

“I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what makes you special,” Gage interjects, turning at the sound of a baby’s cry.

That’s when I spot the baby seat on the floor beside him. Before he can so much as move, Bates is out of his chair, unfastening the little buckles that keep her secure. He lifts her tiny body to rest against his shoulder.

Now nobody is looking at me. They’re looking at the six-foot-four psychopath holding a tiny baby girl like she’s made of glass.

I grip my stomach and groan, making Priest look at me in
