are Keith and Ruairí. I suppose Rowan by extension. The men trust me to provide for them, but they would do that with any captain. It’s not me personally that they have confidence in. I don’t know why it matters so much, but I think I want you to trust me because of what I want to do with and to you.”
“You mean those implements,” Moira clarified.
“Not exactly. There are things I’ve heard of but never tried before. I’d like to explore them with you, but for us to both enjoy it, I need you to trust me. It needs to go beyond you knowing I won’t force you, or purposely harm you,” Kyle explained.
Moira listened to Kyle, considering how much she did trust him. She welcomed the love play, but she’d known from the start it was more than that. She accepted his punishment because she wanted it. Moira realized she trusted Kyle more than she thought because she’d relinquished control to him and trusted him not to take advantage of that. She wanted to follow his rules; she wanted to please him in ways beyond just bringing him to climax. She’d done all of that just from her own intuition, and Kyle hadn’t abused his position. He tried to wheedle information from her, and she felt manipulated at times, but he’d never denied his intentions or his methods.
“I think I already do,” Moira whispered. She frowned for a moment before speaking more clearly. “When you sent me to the corner, I didn’t enjoy it. I could have sat on the bed or the floor while you were gone. I could have slept in the bed. I did none of those things. Instead, I thought about how I disappointed you; how my rebelliousness made me feel worse, not better. When I call you Capt’n, it’s because I want you to be in command of me. When Dónal issued orders to me and forced me to call him Chieftain, I wanted to gut him. But when you do it, I don’t fear you taking advantage of me or maliciously wielding your power. I suppose it’s why I haven’t thought about escaping.”
“Moira, you say you want to stay, but if you wish for me to take you somewhere, I won’t begrudge your decision.”
“The plan was for me to go to Fionn O’Driscoll, then on to Barra,” Moira stated. She waited for regret to set in now that she had revealed the information, but she felt none. Keeping the secret didn’t seem so important once she shared it.
“Was it your request to go to Senga and Ruairí?” Kyle asked, fearing Moira would answer with the affirmative.
“No. I told you, the clan councilmen showed up in the middle of the night saying they had devised the plan to take me to Baltimore and then have the O’Driscolls take me to Barra. I had no part in the plan.” Moira had a sudden thought. “Kyle, I didn’t tell you not because I don’t trust you. I didn’t tell you because I don’t want to go to either place. I mean, in the beginning I didn’t tell you because I was too scared. But I’ve refused to tell you until now because I don’t want you to send me away.”
“Because you’re having too much fun?” Kyle asked without a trace of humor.
“Kyle, I’m telling you I want to stay aboard a pirate ship and face God knows what future because I’m onboard with you. Maybe most of my reason is because I want to couple with you, because desire is overruling reason. Maybe it’s something more. I haven’t a bluidy clue. But nothing is making me want to run.”
“What I haven’t told you may,” Kyle muttered. Moira’s cool fingers brushed against his bristled cheek. She strained to kiss him, keeping it light and short.
“I haven’t said no to anything.”
“But everyone has their limits, sweet one. I may ask for what goes beyond yours,” Kyle said dubiously.
“How will you know if you don’t ask?” Moira pointed out.
“You’ve seen all but one of my devices. But I wish for you to—I wish to restrain you while I spank you,” Kyle blurted.
Moira nodded as she considered what Kyle might be envisioning. She glanced at the hook in the ceiling before looking back at Kyle.
“Yes, that is one way I wish to do it. I also wish to take you from behind while you’re suspended from the hook.”
“Which—which way?” Moira stuttered.
“Your cunny for that.”
“What else do you imagine?” Moira
