My Dad's College Friends - Cassandra Dee Page 0,20

them a shy look. “I think it’s really hot actually.”

Both of their eyes flare.

“Amelia, you have no idea how happy you’re making us. You are sweet, giving, and so sexual, and I knew you’d be the one for us,” growls Ryan.

I giggle a bit and shoot him an arch look.

“Well, why didn’t you approach me earlier then?”

The two men roll their eyes.

“Sweetheart, when did you turn eighteen?”

I laugh again.

“About a month ago. Remember? My dad threw me that party. You guys came.”

Reese nods.

“Exactly. We’ve been counting the days until you were eighteen, baby girl. We’ve been watching you for years now, and you’re lucky we didn’t claim you at that silly birthday party.”

I laugh again even as my cheeks go red.

“You mean, you didn’t like the unicorn ice cream cake?”

Ryan shakes his head ruefully.

“I think Michael still thinks you’re a little girl. The unicorn cake with the rainbow ice cream was really over the top.”

I laugh again.

“I know. My dad still thinks I’m into stuffed animals too, and he got me a plush kitty as a gift. But seriously,” I say, my expression becoming somber. “What are we going to do about Michael? My dad would die if he knew I were with you.”

Reese resumes massaging my legs as he answers me.

“I don’t feel the need to hide or be ashamed of who we are. We would like the whole world to know that you’re with us, but we’re also very much aware of how cruel people can be; so as much as possible, we would like to shelter you from that. But like with everything else, we’ll do whatever you want. So, if you want to keep it quiet, then we don’t have to be out and proud with all of our relationship. We can tell your dad, or we don’t have to if you’re uncomfortable. Believe me, Ryan and I are well skilled in hiding our relationship. It’s up to you, sweetheart.”

I think for a moment.

“If you want to keep our relationship quiet, that’s okay, I totally get it. However, I do want to tell my dad. It’s just been us since my mom left and Mike’s opinion is really important to me. I just want to make sure he’s okay with our relationship before we move forward. After all, he’s not just my dad; he’s also your best friend and I would hate for our relationship to ruin either of those relationships.”

The silence is deafening. Neither Ryan nor Reese say anything for quite some time. Finally, Reese speaks, “If that’s what you want, of course we’ll do it, but I think you should think long and hard about Michael’s reaction. How far are you willing to take this?”

Jumping in, Ryan adds, “We’re not trying to give you an ultimatum. What Reese means is that we’ve never told your dad because we didn’t think he would be comfortable with our relationship. We just don’t want to put you in an awkward position, that’s all. We’ve known Mike for decades now, and he’s still really old-fashioned in some ways. But like Reese said, we’re happy to come clean because it’s important to you.”

I think for a moment more.

“Yes, I think I want to do this. I definitely hear you about Michael being old-fashioned. If it were up to him, I’d still have a curfew and he’d vet all the men I date, not that there are a lot. But yes, I want to tell him because my dad means everything to me. He’s how I know you guys!”

The two men nod seriously, their blue eyes shuttered.

“What is it?” I press.

Reese sighs.

“No, nothing sweetheart. I’m just not expecting the best reaction from Michael when he finds out. After all, what would you do if your teen daughter told you she was dating two much-older men? I’d go ballistic, definitely.”

I laugh.

“Don’t worry, I’ll handle it. I stuck by Mike after my mom left, so we’ve been through tough times before. But I really do appreciate you being willing to tell my dad. How about we plan on getting together tomorrow night for dinner? We can tell Michael, then.”

Ryan and Reese nod, albeit a bit reluctantly. I kiss them gratefully, lingering on their lips. By the time we’re done, all three of us are breathing hard, and I’d love nothing more than to be ravished in their office.

But now, we have big news, and I grab my bag before pressing my lips to theirs one last time.

“I’ll see you tomorrow, okay? Come
