to pick up our car."
It wasn't far, but the warmth already caused him to sweat just a bit. It felt good.
Entering the rental office, he walked to the counter and pulled his license from his wallet. The clerk was efficient and had their paperwork in order.
"You need to sign next to all the x's."
Signing his name in multiple places his excitement grew. Almost time to explore. The clerk slid his keys across the counter and pointed to the back of the building.
"You're Jeep is out back, follow the sidewalk. It's the white one. Enjoy your stay."
"Thank you." Picking up the small bag and hoisting it over his shoulder, he turned and saw LuAnn standing at the window holding the handle of the red suitcase.
She turned and smiled at him, her excitement growing by the look in her eyes. He kissed her lips and whispered. "Gil got us a Jeep."
"That's awesome."
Their steps became lighter and they climbed into their new ride for the week. Setting the GPS for the hotel he started the Jeep, looked over at LuAnn, whose smile was brighter than the sun.
"Ready to begin our new adventure?"
"I sure am."
As he drove to the hotel, both he and LuAnn were looking around the area, the buildings and the people sauntering about. Parking in the hotel lot, his heart felt full and happy. A parking attendant rushed to the driver's side of the Jeep and he hopped out, handed the keys over and watched as another attendant began unloading their bags from the back.
This was the first time in his life he'd been treated like this. LuAnn watched from the other side of the vehicle clearly stunned and amused by the look on his face.
His phone rang and he saw Gil's name on the read out.
"Hello."
"Are you here yet?"
He laughed and walked toward LuAnn. Pulling a five-dollar bill from his front pocket, he handed it to the valet and followed the bellhop carrying their bags into the lobby. LuAnn walked alongside of him, her eyes taking everything in.
"We are just walking into the hotel now."
"Great. Just give them my name, I've made all the arrangements. If you want to come out to the shop this evening, we're having a pig roast. It's our anniversary this month, so we're having some doings each weekend. If you're tired and want to wait until tomorrow, no pressure, okay?"
"Thanks, Gil. Let me see what LuAnn wants to do and I'll get back to you. Thank you for all you've done to make us comfortable, we appreciate it."
Gil laughed. He seemed like a jovial man. "It's the least I can do for my new bike designer and his girl."
Chase opened his mouth to say he hadn't accepted yet, but Gil's laugh on the other end stopped him.
"Thank you. Maybe we'll see you in a bit."
"Sounds good, Chase."
The line went dead before another word could be said and he thought it might be fun to see what the crowd here is like.
Check in was a breeze; Gil was right, he had it all set up. Their room was phenomenal, the service top notch and it was hard not to be taken in by this five- star treatment.
LuAnn walked out of the bathroom and up to him. Her arms slid around his waist and she hugged him close. "This is amazing, but not as amazing as you."
He pulled her closer, hugged her to him and enjoyed the feel of her body close to his.
"Want to go to a pig roast?"

Dressed in jeans and a Harley shirt, a cute one with rhinestones and cutouts, LuAnn was eager to see how this group partied. You could tell a lot about a dealership by how its chapters partied. If they were mean and rowdy it said as much about the owner of the dealership as those who loved to have fun without being sassy and disrespectful. That would give them a wealth of information and it was probably better that they saw this first before meeting formally tomorrow.
Chase took her hand as they walked across the parking lot toward the gates behind the shop where the party was in full celebratory mode. The music grew louder the closer they got, the laughter did as well. And that's what struck her, there was so much laughter.
A woman stopped them at the gates. "Are you members here, handsome?" She asked Chase.
He smiled at her and she dang near dropped to the ground. Yes, he was that impressive. "No, ma'am, we're guests of
