my mouth as I stroke. I can taste the salt on my lips before he fills my mouth. His body shudders and jerks, and I stay as long as I can under the water before coming up.
I swallow, and like I’m at some fine dining establishment., I savor the taste. I release Shay’s cock to push the hair out of my eyes and rub water away from my face.
Licking my lips, I finally look at Shay, feeling pretty proud of myself. My stomach quivers with the look on his face. I have no idea if he’s mad or shocked.
“I like the taste.” It’s easy, to be honest, sitting in a bathtub, in a field, under the moon, with a man who looks like a God. It’s easy because it’s a moment that will stay with me forever. It might shatter when we leave here, or when he says something I don’t want to hear, or a thought I shouldn’t have pops up. But right now, it’s a moment.
“You sure do.”
I exhale a shaky breath at his response. He shifts again and reaches out along the side of the tub. I watch as he lights a cigarette.
“Can I have one?” I’ve never smoked before.
He’s eyeing me before he hands me his cigarette and lights another one for himself.
Bringing it to my lips, I inhale. It burns my throat, and I start to cough. When I settle, he’s grinning at me.
“First time smoking too?”
“No. I’m a chain smoker. Can’t you tell?”
His laughter dances across my bare skin and raises goosebumps in its wake. It’s deep, dark, and delightful, and I want to make him laugh again.
I inhale more smoke and cough a bit less. I flick the ashes over the side of the bathtub. I use my time to watch Shay as he lies back with his head thrown up to the moon as he smokes.
“The first time I took a bath out here, I was pissed out of my head. The water was freezing, and I ended up sick in bed for days.” He blows smoke into the sky.
“Poor thing.” I inhale more smoke and decide I don’t really like smoking, so I just hang the cigarette over the side of the tub and focus on the burning ember.
“Why did you come out here?” Shay’s question has me knowing this is when the moment will shatter.
I drop the cigarette out onto the grass. “I couldn’t sleep.” I lie.
“You should go back in and try.”
I don’t look at Shay, but I agree with him. I’ve had my moment with him, and everything after this feels forced.
“Goodnight, Shay.” I climb out of the bath. The slight breeze is sharp against my damp skin. I gather all my clothes off the ground, and without looking back, I make my way back to the house.
I keep waiting for a sense of shame or disgust to come from my actions, but it doesn’t come, even as I enter the room and take off my wet panties and bra. I smell Shay’s t-shirt before dragging it over my head and climbing into bed.

I redress the next morning. Shay’s not in the room. The pillows and blanket are on the floor, so he was here at some stage.
A soft knock at the door has me turning as Michelle steps in. “How did you sleep?” She asks as she bends down and picks up the pillows.
I step forward and gather the blanket. “Good, thank you.”
“I brought you some hair ties. Shay thought you might want it tied up.” She meant Shay said to come in here and tell me to tie it up. Having my hair out of my face would be welcomed.
“Thank you.” I fold the blanket and place it at the end of the made bed.
“The bathroom is down the hall. If you want to wash up.” I take the ties that she holds out to me.
“Breakfast is nearly ready.” Michelle leaves the door open, and the smell of rashers and sausages has my stomach grumbling.
I find the bathroom easily and wash up before plaiting my hair down my back. It rolls all the way down my spine.
I don’t expect to find anyone in the kitchen with the silence, but the tension is an entirely different thing that I step into. Siobhan has parked herself right beside Shay. She must have dragged her chair as close as possible. Neither of them looks up as I step in. Michelle speaks to me over her shoulder as she moves
