finally going to give up this town for us?”

Kirill nodded. “You two are all I care about. I want us to have our own place where we make new and happy memories. A place where none of us can run away again.”

They looked Derreck’s way. He was the only one who hadn’t agreed. Derreck wore a huge grin. “I can’t leave Vegas. Antonio and Bay are moving back to be closer to us.”

Jett covered his mouth for a second before happiness burst out. “Are you fucking serious? I just talked to Bay the other day. He didn’t say a word.”

Derreck winced. “It’s supposed to be a surprise.”

Kirill didn’t really know these people, but they were important to Derreck and Jett. “So, I’m selling, then?”

Jett and Derreck looked his way and nodded. Derreck was the one who answered for them. “Let’s do this. Let’s create our own version of a family.”

Kirill nearly collapsed under the weight of his relief and happiness. He stared at the loves of his life with his heart in his throat. While he had hoped for this, he had never dreamed he would have what Derreck and Jett offered with their love. He couldn’t wait to get started. They were his whole world.

Jett felt kind of crappy and exposed despite winning Kirill and them deciding to buy a house together. It wasn’t anyone’s fault. He had worked so hard to build himself anew and confessing to what those goddamn boxes had done to his sanity left him feeling slightly defeated. He found himself incapable of meeting anyone’s stare, in spite of it being one the happiest moments of his life.

“You’re so strong.”

Jett’s gaze shot to Kirill’s at the words.

Kirill held his stare as if he could read Jett’s mind. Jett swallowed the desire to cry again. Kirill didn’t back down. “Seriously,” Kirill said, pushing on. “You’ve survived.” He linked fingers with Jett. “You survived for us. I truly believe that. You’re not weak. In fact, you’re the strongest person I know. Don’t think about it anymore. If you can’t stop, tell us so we can fix it. Okay? You’re not alone.”

Since Jett’s throat hurt too badly to speak, he nodded. He swallowed past the lump in his throat, forcing words past his lips. “I love you so much. So much. I didn’t mean to rain on our moment.”

Derreck squeezed Jett and Kirill to his chest. “No one is ruining anything. This is our moment to say everything we’ve avoided or assumed we each knew. I’ve never been prouder. It’s like we’re real adults. It only took me forty years to get here.”

A genuine smile pulled at Jett’s lips. He had to admit he did feel pretty adult like. It was good. He felt strong. They felt strong. “Mhmm, well.” He nuzzled Derreck’s chest while toying with Kirill’s fingers. “What do three very adult-like people do when they’re in love and celebrating?”

Kirill shot forward and claimed Jett’s lips. He pulled Derreck into their kiss. Jett’s heart raced as their tongues stroked and they fought to get closer. As fast as it started, it was over. Kirill jumped to his feet.

“Adults order dinner, drink beer, and binge watch a web series.”

With a laugh, Jett found a more comfortable spot on Derreck’s lap. “Sparkling water for me, please.” He liked this plan. An entire night curled up together, eating, laughing and enjoying one another. Jett couldn’t think of anything better. Except maybe spending the rest of his life doing this. Jett needed that. He needed this. They were strong. They would make it.

Packing was going so much smoother than Derreck imagined. Of course, that was helped greatly by Kirill’s relationship with Zander. Zander had given them two weeks off with pay while they dealt with Kirill’s move. The house had sold way faster than anyone anticipated. Derreck had a sneaking suspicion Zander was behind that too. Kirill hired a moving company to deal with Derreck’s place and Jett’s apartment. The contents of this house would be right behind Jett’s and Derreck’s things, but they had agreed together to go through everything and decide what to keep from the house in California. Plus, they felt a little connected to this place where they had only spent two long weekends together. They had been great weekends, though. The first, they had agreed they were a throuple. The second, they had confessed their love. This house, in a town where Derreck had never lived, felt like a piece of them. It deserved a
