Last Beautiful Girl (Magnolia Sound #6) - Samantha Chase Page 0,38

remember everything about…

His head lowered, and he nipped at her neck—right under her ear—and she nearly bucked off the bed.

Oh, my…

Then his tongue did that thing she loved around the shell of her ear.

I’m definitely in trouble…

And when his hand reached up and gently toyed with her nipple, she was done playing. The mood was one hundred percent back on track, and to prove it, she raked her hands up into his hair and yanked.

Hard.

When he lifted his head, she said, “Point taken.”

“I wasn’t trying to prove anything. I just wanted you to relax and feel good.”

This time it was her smile that was a little slow and a little sensual. “I bet we’ll both feel good if we lost some of these clothes.” She figured he’d spring into action, but…he didn’t.

Oh, God…did I seriously misread all the signs?

Panic started to overwhelm her when he finally spoke.

“Go out with me,” he quickly interrupted.

“Um…what?”

“Tomorrow. Go out with me.”

She couldn’t help but let out a small laugh. “You want to talk about this now?”

He nodded.

“I can’t just say yes, Kyle. What about Haley? School’s getting ready to start, and I can’t just drop her at a friend’s house again and…”

He held up a hand to stop her. “The three of us will go out.”

“Um…”

But he was nodding excitedly. “Yeah! We’ll go walking on the beach and collect shells and then play some miniature golf and grill some burgers for dinner. What do you say?”

The fact that he put some thought into this was possibly the greatest foreplay ever.

Her words were out before she could even stop them. “I think that sounds amazing. Thank you.”

His response was to roll her under him. “Okay, now that we have that settled, where were we?” But his lips captured hers before she could answer and her clothes were off in record time.

Luckily, so were his.

He smelled great, he felt amazing, he kissed like a dream, and the things his hands were doing to her had Sydney feeling like she was ready to soar. She was on total sensory overload and it was exactly what she wanted.

Needed.

Craved.

The past blurred with the present until she thought she’d go mad, and then she had to force herself to simply stop thinking and focus on feeling.

And it was incredible the things Kyle was making her feel.

Her hands were exploring every inch of him she could reach, and it was all new and yet familiar and try as she might, there was just no way to turn her brain completely off because…this was Kyle.

The first man she’d ever loved.

The first man she’d ever made love with.

So much of what they were doing was burned in her memory, but there were still things she was discovering.

Like how much his body had changed—become more muscular—and how incredible the weight of him felt on top of her. Her arms wrapped around him and pulled him in close to kiss him and tell him without words how much she needed him.

Kyle Jones wasn’t the only one who remembered and who was capable of turning someone inside out with a simple move, touch, or kiss. She gently bit down on his tongue and he hissed and immediately lifted his head. That boyish grin she’d always loved smiled down at her.

“That’s my girl,” he whispered.

Nodding, she reached down between them and let him know that playtime was over.

“We’ve got all night,” he reminded her.

“I know,” she said, kissing his chest, his shoulder. “But I just thought you should know that I really want…

He never let her finish because he was completely in sync with her.

He gave her everything she wanted and so much more.

Repeatedly.

And it was better than she remembered.

That night started a whole new pattern for them.

For two weeks, they spent every single day together—primarily because he was working on the house—but he would stay for dinner almost every night and then take Sydney and Haley out on the weekends. And the thing was…he was loving it. Normally he wouldn’t think there was anything wrong with it, but…he and Sydney had yet to do anything more than some heavy making out since the night at his house.

But that didn’t mean he wasn’t dying for more.

He knew it was important for them to take it slow, but he also knew he was desperate to spend the night with her.

Again.

And without her worrying about Haley.

Although, the kid was great. Honestly, Kyle had no issues with her at all. She was back in school and trying out for the
