It's Complicated - J. S. Cooper Page 0,127

you to judge me, Connor? Why are you going on about this? You’re making me feel bad enough as it is. I wasn’t doing anything wrong. I was just dating. In New York City, it’s what everyone does, right?”

“It’s not what you do, Gemma, is it? The girl with the morals, the girl that wants the happily ever after? The girl who wants the two-point-five children and the white picket fence? Is that what you want to tell your kids, that you were fucking two brothers?”

“I didn’t sleep with Lucas. Connor.” I touched his shoulder and he shrugged.

“Whatever. I mean, it’s fine. We’ll tell him we met at a rave. You’re feeling better now and just whatever.” He paused for a second. “So were you planning on coming to this party to see me or to see my brother?”

“Connor, it’s…” I stopped. I didn’t even know what else to say. “You know what, Connor? It’s fine. Whatever. We’re done anyway, so yeah, I’m feeling better.” I shrugged. There was no point in me trying to have any sort of conversation with him. He wasn’t being understanding, and I could tell he was judging me. The look in his eyes almost made me want to cry. “You know what? I thought you were a nice guy. I thought you were open-minded, but you’re not. You are just one of those people that is open-minded for your own situation. But...”

“Whatever, Gemma.” He just stared at me, walked over to the door and opened it. “I’ll be downstairs. You can come down whenever you’re feeling better,” he said and walked out. I couldn’t believe he was being so rude to me.

I ran after him and hit him in the shoulder. “What is your problem?”

“What is my problem?” He turned around. “Are you fricking joking me right now?”

“What is your problem, Connor? I just do not understand.”

“You don’t understand?” He shook his head. “I thought you were different.”

“You thought I was different from what?”

“It doesn’t matter now.” He shrugged and walked away.

“Stop!” I grabbed his arm. “You need to talk to me right now.”

“For what, Gemma?”

We were both heaving. I stared at his lips and I could see that he was staring at mine. I moved slightly to the right, and the movement caused the front of my dress to fall down slightly. I knew he got a glance of my breasts.

“Fuck,” he said under his breath as he looked at me. “Come here.” He grabbed my hand and pulled me back into the room, closed the door and locked it. “Ooh. You have no bra on?”

“And so what do you care?” I stared at him glaring.

“You have no bra on? You’re wearing a fucking sexy dress like that with no bra and you’re asking what I care?” He grabbed me around the waist and pulled me toward him. “Fuck, Gemma.”

“What, Connor?” I said, glaring at him. And then he kissed me. I didn’t even care that he was being more passionate than usual. He sucked on my lower lip and chewed, and I yelped slightly as his teeth cut into my skin. I was pretty sure there was blood there, but I kissed him back with as much passion as I could as well.

We moved to the bed and my hands went up his shirt. His hand slid up the back of my dress and he growled as he realized I had on no panties. “Fuck, Gemma. No underwear at all?”

He looked at me in the eyes and I just winked at him. “Hey, a girl likes to have fun, you know.”

“You have fun, all right,” he said. He pulled my dress up and then kissed my lips one more time before going down on me. I could feel his tongue licking my slit, and I shivered as he started eating me out. He sucked on my clit, and then his hands pulled me further down the bed so that he was centered between my legs. I moaned as he stuck his tongue inside of me. My legs clasped his neck and I trembled on the bed. And then I heard the knock.

“Gemma.” Lucas’ voice.

“Yes?” I called out, hesitantly though. This wasn’t happening. I thought Connor was going to be a good guy because he stood up then. I smiled at him gratefully. The last thing I needed was for him to be eating me out as Lucas stood on the other side of the door.

“How are you feeling, babe?”

“I’m okay,” I said.
