Hard Knox - Riley Hart Page 0,62
I often asked him to stay, but he never did. I tried not to let myself wonder why.
I’d lost count of how many blowjobs he’d given me, and while I hadn’t ventured there yet, I was a pro at jacking him off now. Not that I’d never had any practice, since I’d been doing it to myself my whole life, but it was still a little different doing it to someone else. I had to learn his body, how he liked to be touched and how much pressure he wanted and how fast I had to move my hand to get him there.
And, of course, the adjusting to the whole someone-else’s-dick-in-my-hand thing, but I’d discovered quickly that I liked it, and that was all that mattered. Who cared if I’d never been with a man before? I was with Callum now, and it was exactly where I wanted to be.
The school year had ended a few days before, and Logan would be going to Colorado the next day. Callum was taking him to the airport with me, and he was working today to make up for the missed shift.
Dale was staying with us tonight so he and Logan could spend some time together before he left. I was in my shop, working on a table I was making for Cal. I knew he wanted to start looking for his own place soon, and I liked the idea of something of mine there.
When I heard a vehicle, I got up and went to the door to see Law getting out of his truck.
“Hey, brother. What’s up?”
“Not much. Thought I’d come by and see how you’re doing. Remy’s been doing this meditating thing in the woods with Griff. I don’t know what the fuck that’s about.” He laughed.
“Not your thing, huh?”
He came into the shop with me. “Eh. I’d do it if he wanted me to, but gotta admit I’m thankful he doesn’t.”
I was pretty fucking sure there wasn’t a damn thing Law wouldn’t do for Remy.
He continued, “It’s good he’s getting out, and I like that he and Griff enjoy spending time together. Good for Griff too, though he’s been doing that more. He and Josh seem to be spending more time together, even if they’re always nitpicking at each other at the bar. Guess it makes sense, considering the two of them are the only single ones left out of all of us.”
My eyes shot to his. I hadn’t told Law that Cal and I were officially anything. I thought maybe part of me wanted to protect it.
“Don’t look at me like that. I’m not an idiot. I saw how you nearly lost your shit when you thought he was going to get laid with Josh. Plus, the two of you are always together, and he came into Sunrise with a hickey on his neck a few weeks back. Tried to hide it, but I saw that shit.”
I laughed. Yeah, I’d gotten a little carried away the first night he blew me.
“Want a drink?” I asked.
“Water is good.”
I grabbed two bottles from the fridge, and we went around back and sat in the chairs there.
“Don’t gotta talk about it, obviously. It’s your thing, but I wanted to let you know I’m here if you want to.”
I opened the bottle and took a drink. The thing was, I thought I wanted to share some with Law. “He’s got me all tied up, man. I’ve never felt this way, and I sure as shit haven’t felt this way about a guy. There’s something special about him…like he just fits with us, fits with me.”
“Scary?” Law asked.
“As fuck,” I replied, and we chuckled. “But I want it, want him. There’s just so much at stake with the kids and everything.”
“Nah, that’s excuses. They’ll be okay. If you and Callum don’t work, he doesn’t seem the type to bail on Logan. The rest of it, if you’re worried about how they’ll react or how others will, it’ll work itself out. The people who can’t accept it aren’t people you’ll want in your life anyway. If you’re good, the kids’ll be good, even if it takes a little adjusting.”
I nodded, hoping he was right. “I think Carol knows. She hasn’t come out and asked me, but she’s hinted.”
“And she’ll be okay with it? She won’t cause problems?”
How sad was our world that he had to even ask that?
I shook my head. There was no doubt in my mind that Carol would always have my back.
