Fiftysix - Seven Rue Page 0,55
kissed guys before. It’s not so hard, is it?”
“No, but don’t older men kiss differently? I mean, I see it all the time in movies. Younger actors kiss so much differently than older ones.”
Sure, you could tell by watching someone kiss if you’d enjoy kissing them.
“But if you never try, you’ll never know what it’s like,” I told her with a shrug.
“True, but still…”
“Kiss me,” I suggested, receiving a questionable look from her.
“What?”
“Kiss me and I’ll let you know what I think of your kissing skills,” I offered.
She studied my face for a while before her frown deepened but then disappeared again.
“Are you sure? Won’t that make things awkward between us?”
“Ken, we’re best friends since we’re little. We’ve peed in a kiddie pool while sitting in it before. Doesn’t get any more personal than that,” I laughed.
She snorted and shook her head. “Guess so. Okay, at least you’ll be brutally honest if I kiss like a drunk person.”
I chuckled and nodded, then got on the bed with her and waited for her to sit up straight.
“Ready?” I asked, placing my hand on her thigh and moving closer.
“I think so.”
“Relax, Ken. It’s just a kiss.”
She nodded and breathed in deeply before looking into my eyes and waiting for me to make a move.
I licked my lips and leaned in closer, moving my hand up to her cheek and cupping it gently before my lips touched hers.
Kissing girls was always a nice experience for me, although I hadn’t done it in a long time.
Kennedy was shy, and I could tell she wasn’t as relaxed as she seemed from the outside.
Instead of using my tongue right away, I let her ease into me a little more, and when she finally placed her hand on my thigh, I knew she wasn’t totally lost when it came to kissing.
Her lips were soft and moved slowly against mine, and that was enough for me to know that she didn’t suck at kissing.
I moved my lips against her one last time before pulling back, noticing that she wanted more but quickly realized how nice it was and turning bright red again.
“Wasn’t so bad, huh?” I asked with a smile.
“No, it was…very nice,” she admitted.
“I think so too. Mason will love the way you kiss. Maybe dare to do a little more. Use your tongue and just go for it. You’ll see. The more you kiss someone, the more you understand what the other likes and dislikes, and sooner or later it comes naturally.”
I got up from the bed and walked toward the door, but she stayed right there on the bed.
“Did anything ever happen that made you the person you are today?” she asked.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean…did something happen you never told me about? That need for an older guy’s attention must come from somewhere.”
Right.
Like other girls with daddy issues who needed an older man to act as their father because their own was never around.
Nothing against those women, and I surely wouldn’t shame them for it.
But my need for an older guy just came from experience.
“I didn’t live through any trauma, Kennedy. I just know what I want, and older men are who turn me on the most. There’s really nothing wrong with that, and once you see past that, because I know you don’t have daddy issues either, you’ll see how great being with Mason really is. Just go for it without questioning everything. You like him, and he obviously likes you back. Get over your demons and enjoy your life.”
She studied me for a while, then smiled. “And maybe that will make me as confident as you are, wearing it proudly and showing it off.”
I shrugged. “Being confident doesn’t mean you have to show it on the outside. As long as you’re true to yourself. Now, let’s go order something to eat because I’m starving.”

The sushi, two burgers, and a side of fries was too much for Kennedy to handle, and so she fell asleep while watching our second movie of the night.
I didn’t wanna wake her and tell her to come upstairs, as the couch was comfortable enough to sleep on, but I had to grab a blanket from my room as the one she already had over her wasn’t warm enough.
I put the remote on the coffee table and let the fourth movie start, as I wasn’t tired yet but wanted to hang out a little longer, eating the rest of the food we ordered.
I headed upstairs to grab my blanket
