them having nothing to do with Hell, but only for his desire to have me.
But then, at the last second, he turned my face away so he could snarl into my cheek before biting it. Thankfully, he didn’t break the skin, but it stung all the same. However, he then made a show of licking it, and groaning, telling the entire room,
“Mmm, I am going to enjoy biting into this flesh once more.” Then without taking his intense gaze from mine, he said,
“Šeš, you have the throne.”
After this he let me go suddenly, making me nearly stumble forward and only catching myself in time before falling flat on my face. And well, let’s just say that I didn’t exactly need to add any more humiliation to the shame train which was full and on its way to mortification town…or should that be the bloody town, one where Lucius was planning on sitting my ass on his dining table, slitting a vein in between my legs and making an erotic meal out of me. And more startling still, what did that say about me if that idea was making me wet?
But then, with a pull of my leash I soon snapped out of it. I had no choice but to start walking as he tugged me along behind him. And despite how demeaning it was, I also knew it could have been worse. I could have been led out of there on my hands and knees, like the Mortal Pet he claimed me to be. Although, when he reached the bottom step, he kicked one of the horns aside and ordered,
“I want those horns dipped in gold and added to my throne before my return, for I have Mortal Pet to reclaim…” He paused and after another tug for me to follow him,
He added dangerously…
“…And a punishment to deliver.”

Hard Push
Lucius walked me down the centre with his wings folded tight to the back of his body. The longer lengths were crossed at the bottom, so they remained raised enough from the floor, stopping them from trailing behind him. I also couldn’t help but notice that when the sea of demons parted for us, Trice needed to be jerked backwards. This was thanks to Gryph as he grabbed a fistful of his shirt and yanked him back. Thankfully, this stopped him from doing anything stupid as I could see for myself that Trice had instinctively placed his hand on the hilt of his sword as we went past.
However, I wasn’t the only one to see this, as Lucius’ keen eye first looked to Trice and then back to the place the angry looking McBain brother had his gaze rooted to…which just so happened to be troublesome little me. Lucius snarled angrily their way before snapping back at me,
“Eyes on your fucking feet, girl!” I did as I was told, as I was led from the room, with the last image on my mind being Gryph and the slowly healing Vern whispering to their brother. This was no doubt trying to convince him not to do something suicidal. And if one thing this little scene told me, it was that I needed to explain things with Trice, and soon. Something that was obviously depending on which Lucius I found myself with once we were behind closed doors. Because I didn’t want to get Trice hurt, but I also knew that for me to say nothing, could potentially be more dangerous as his temper rose, and with it, his angry King’s.
Gods, but talk about being in between a rock and a hard place, this was more like being between brimstone and a Hell’s fortress. One he was walking me through right now and the moment we were on the other side, he gave me a slight tug, pulling me closer to his side. This was so he had the slack of the leash enough to push a pair of double doors open with both hands, making the armour at his shoulders lift and I jumped at the echoing crack of sound.
Oh yeah, Lucius was pissed.
These doors were different to the ones I had walked through when first entering his fortress, and it made me wonder how I had missed them when I first arrived. They were situated on the left-hand side and were at least twenty feet high, with each side decorated in a crude puzzle of broken black glass. It was also the ones that before they opened, I had just made out
