me from falling a couple of times. “The stairs don’t trip me up anymore and I have no problem on the trike because I don’t have to turn my head so much. I can see everything better. I still have the dizzy, but Mitch said to expect it and it’s better than it was.”
Ranger and Cort come over and sit by Falcon. Justice turns. “You’ll get used to the eyes and that will be easier. I’ll get Mucimi on virtual for some exercises you can practice with. GM said a month. I think you’re ready for more, you clocked the pussy and were dead eye seconds later.” GM is his letters for Grandma Mitch, it takes a second for that to clear my brain.
Hannah nods so I do. “Thanks. I know it isn’t going away and I’m a hell of a lot more stable than I was. Confidence in movement is important at any stage, I’m ready to tackle that next. The eyes didn’t take as long as I thought. I still have work there, I’m not saying I’m done, just that I can handle more.” I watch the mamma walk away and look at Brinks. He throws chin to the Brother with Banks. The Brother follows the mamma. Maybe she needs the bathroom.
Justice looks at Hannah then back to me. “Mucimi says he’ll start when the Club chick leaves.”
I laugh. “He’s probably throwing her out,” Pres says.
Hannah nods. Justice smiles. “I don’t need his shit in my head. He said you’re right, Trask. He’ll be on the chopper with the Alpha-Bits.”
Falcon laughs. “He’s got Dakota as a handler. You were supposed to stay away from him.”
Justice shrugs. “Jinx is ready for more and Mucimi can have it done overnight. I didn't call to him. He tunes in when I say his name, he’s mine, it’s not like we can shut it off.”
Hannah laughs. “I’d have done that in Rhode Island and never met anyone here.”
Justice laughs. I’m trying to figure out how that works. I know Indie and Mucimi talk to her. Hannah, Justice, Teller, Mucimi and Ben all talk in our heads too. I don’t know how to stop that. I don’t know how it happens either so I can’t shut it off. Hannah said there are readers that can’t talk in other people’s heads. It’s crazy how they’re all different. How do they get different powers?
“You’re all asking the same things. I’ll try to answer everyone at one time. We were born like this. We didn’t have everything we do now as babies. Abilities show as we master and prove our intent to the ancestors. Teller gets more visions than I do. I see everything from him so it isn’t a loss I carry. My connection to Christian and Prez is stronger than Teller and Hannah’s. They connect to my dad, Dakota and Aiyana more than I do. All my crew connect to me and Teller the same way. The three always read each other clearer than anyone else. It’s the same for all ones of the three with Prez, we read each other clearly.
“I can throw energy inside or outside like this. Close your eyes, Jinx.” His hand opens palm up and a blue light shoots up and has me squinting. “That’s enough to stun someone.” The light changes to lightning bright white and I close my eyes. “That will kill them. Teller doesn’t throw energy. We both can roll it through a pussy’s body and you’d never see it. He can do that from longer distances than I can. We can suspend and push to move fast. Hannah can throw calm like she’s Mother Theresa. We all can heal at different levels. Mucimi is the best with healing in our crew, he heals like Jeremy. Teller is like my dad, Dakota. I’m a little of both. Together we are effective. With Jeremy, Dakota, Hannah, Aquyá and me, we kept Jinx and Trask from hospital stays. Aiyana has the ability to mend flesh and bone alone. She’s a doctor and it helps her pinpoint what’s wrong and how to fix it. The crew can only achieve it together. My sister Destiny would have had all the small wounds healed right away. She’s more like Aiyana.”
Banks laughs. “They look good now. Aiyana fixed them up. Is this all Indian healing and abilities?”
He’s right, we look so much better than we should. Aiyana has the scars on Pres’s face barely noticeable. Even my neck is just a thin
