first kiss in my room when she returned after a time away, I knew that I couldn’t go on pretending. My thoughts were always on Savannah. She was my beginning and my end. Letisha meant nothing to me after that.
I know I handled our breakup badly and I should’ve known that she wouldn’t take it well, but there is no way that I can have Letisha working directly for Savannah. Apart from the obvious hatred that Letisha feels for Savvie, it will be fucking awkward for me. I hate that I think that. My thoughts should be all about Savvie’s well-being, but I can’t help the selfishness. The last thing I need is to see her face every day, wondering what she is saying to Savvie about me and our time together.
“Hey,” Savvie says, popping up next to me in a swirl of smoke. “There you are.”
“You needed me?” I ask, harsher than I meant to. My annoyance isn’t at her.
She gives me a concerned look. “Everything okay?” she murmurs, slipping her hand into mine.
I force a smile on my face and bring her hand to my lips to kiss. “Fine. Are you okay?”
“We need to talk,” she says, stepping in closer to me. “Afterwards, I want you on your own. All. Night. Long.”
Her heated gaze makes my dick go hard. All of my worries about Letisha vanish as my forced smile turns genuine.
“I’d like that,” I whisper to her, pulling her even closer. “I need it.”
She looks up at me, those violet eyes full of love. “I need you,” she says.
“I love you,” I say quietly, dropping her hand and curling her hair behind her ear. I trace my fingers down her face to under her chin. I tilt her head back a bit and place a soft kiss on her lips. “Everything that I do is for you.”
She frowns at me. “Jerrick…”
“I love you,” I say again, wanting her to say it back.
“I love you,” she says. “Are you sure you’re okay?” Her concern for me makes me happy.
“Perfect,” I say and take her hand to lead her away.
The second before she Puffports us out, I see Letisha skulking in the shadows. She saw and heard everything. I curse myself for not being more careful. It will only fuel her fire. She won’t rest now until she has destroyed me, and Savannah along with it.

Savannah
I give Jerrick a sneaky look. He is acting a bit weird. It must be because of Rath’Na and that is why I’ve called the men here, to my room, to have a conversation.
Rook is the last to arrive. He looks better than he did a while ago. I go to him and say, “How’re you feeling?”
“Okay,” he says with a reassuring nod. “It was a weird feeling. Not like the other times.”
“I have a theory about that,” I murmur. “We’ll talk later.”
He nods again and then I leave him to face the rest of the men. “As you will know by now, Rath’Na and I have decided to be together. I know that it’s a surprise and I’d hoped to speak to you about it before I took the step. I’m sorry for that. I hope that you can forgive me.”
“Nothing to forgive,” Trey states. “I told you after the ceremony that you had our blessing. We get it, Savvie. We all knew a while ago that this was going to happen.”
I give him a grateful look and then focus on Theo. He gives me a smile, as does Rook. Jerrick is a little late to absolve me, but he eventually sighs.
“You have absolutely nothing to apologize for,” he says.
“Thank you,” I murmur. “Uhm, there is something that I would like to add about Rath and who he is.”
“He’s my not-grandfather,” Trey says, “We already know that.”
“No, there’s more.” I look at Rath. He gives me an encouraging nod. We spoke about revealing his true heritage after we made love in the grass. I still want to keep my own under wraps for now, but the sooner we tell the men who Rath is, the better.
“Rath’Na is the Dragon god,” I say, focusing on Trey as I say this. It will mean more to him than the others.
Although perhaps not.
“What?” Jerrick thunders, stepping closer to me.
“Wait? What?” Trey interjects before Jerrick can have an apoplexy.
“The Dragon god. He is the one who created Tiamat and the other original Dragons,” I say quickly.
Jerrick spins to Rath’Na, his fists clenched. “You shouldn’t be here,” he
