hill, boobs exposed. Oh shit! Jenna lost her bikini top!

“I’ll save you,” Rider called out, then cupped her boobs for her all the way back up the hill instead of simply letting her pull the top back up. It was sitting around her hips.

“My hero.” She rolled her eyes as she passed me.

I chuckled. They headed back toward the cabin. I had a feeling we wouldn’t wanna go in there for a bit. They were gonna be ‘busy’.

Spencer was showing Pippa the finer art of axe throwing and Pippa was some sort of phenom because she hit the bullseye every time.

Deacon and Ella were playing Frisbee with Chakotay.

I had just gotten up the hill after having gone down that slip n’ slide when Christian went flying down to the bottom. He went down on his belly, arms up in the air, a smile on his face.

“Bye Superman!” I called, laughing and went back to the cooler by the blanket to fetch myself another hard-cherry lemonade cooler.

Today, we were going to barbeque and tonight we had plans to play Rummoli. We loved playing at Ella’s parents, so I’d bought the game for the cabin’s boardgame collection.

It was turning out to be a great weekend. All the guys had their phones nearby and every one of them had security cam alerts set to come up on their phones so that if anyone approached our cabin from any direction, we’d know about it.

Ella’s phone rang from the lawn chair beside my blanket. I glanced at the screen.

“Ella, your mom!” I called out.

She threw the Frisbee towards Deacon, but threw it low so Chakotay caught it. She dashed back toward me.

“Want me to get it so you don’t miss her?’

“Yeah,” she called out as she jogged toward me.

Christian was walking up over the top of the hill and Chakotay was running toward him with the orange plastic disc in his mouth. The dog ran across the path of the hose pointing down the slip ‘n slide, sending him sailing down the hill.

We cracked up laughing as I answered the phone, watching Spencer’s poor doggo sliding sideways starfish style. He did not drop that Frisbee.

“Hi Bertie, it’s Jojo. One sec, here’s Ella.”

“Jojo! Is Chris nearby actually?”

“Sure. Right here.” I held Ella’s phone out to him.

He frowned and grabbed it.

Ella stopped and looked at him.

“Hey Aunt Bert.” His expression immediately went concerned. He pointed to my phone on the ground and snapped his fingers. I lifted it and he had it out of my hand immediately, using his shoulder to hold Ella’s phone to his ear while he frantically did something on my phone.

“Fuck. Fuck!” he shouted. “Yeah. Call the cops. We’re headin’ there now. Yeah.”

He handed Ella her phone with one hand and turned my phone around so we could see it.

Christian’s mother’s Facebook profile photo was new. It was her and very obviously Christian’s father. He had his arms around her with a huge smile. Her expression? Her face was horrified.

“Oh my God!” I gasped.

“Get clothes on. We gotta go.”

Obviously, Will Forker had done that in an effort to get someone’s attention. Ella’s mom had been innocently scrolling on Facebook when she’d seen the picture and knew something was very very wrong.

Wild Will clearly wanted to lure Christian to him. He couldn’t get back at him through doing something to me because I’d been so well-guarded, perhaps, but his mother was in Wyoming without either of her sons nearby. We were almost ten hours’ drive away and Jonathan was almost four hours away.

Ella’s mom called my phone as we were getting into the truck and told me the police were on their way to Jolene’s apartment. Deacon, Christian and I were heading to the Sioux Falls airport as it was a little closer than the Aberdeen airport from the cabin. We decided to fly to Rapid City and then drive to Jolene’s apartment with the help of our Rapid City members, who Deacon mobilized on the phone while we traveled to the airport. It felt like every minute counted.

I called Jolene’s number three times and it just kept ringing.

Jonathan met with a few guys from our Rapid City charter and we had plans to meet up just outside the airport at a Dunkin Donuts parking lot.

“Shoulda fuckin’ made Ma come stay with us,” he snapped as we got into the SUV of Shaina, the daughter of the prez, Stoagie, who picked us up at the airport.

“You tried, but she loves her job.”

He shook his
