on the bus for Fresno by five in the evening. That made for a long day, and by the time we got there Trey and I collapsed on our beds and promptly went to sleep.
Our game started out good, and quickly it turned into a shit show. The other team wasn’t as good as us, but they were kicking our ass. Maybe because I had other shit on my mind—I knew Ava was going to be leaving Laken anytime now and I knew it was going to be hard on Laken. Hell, I was going to miss her like crazy too.
After coach ripped us a new one in the locker room, we showered and then got on the bus to head home which leads to now.
The bus comes to a stop in the parking lot next to the soccer field. I grab my bag and throw it over my shoulder. I want to go home, take a hot shower, and go the fuck to bed.
I catch a ride home with a couple of the guys. They pull up in front of my building, and I climb out of the back seat. I’m halfway up my walkway when I realize Laken is sitting on my steps.
As I get closer, I can see the pain in her eyes. I hold my hand out until she takes it, not letting it go until I let us into my apartment. After tossing my duffle bag on my bed, I pull Laken into my arms as she cries softly.
“I-I’m sorry to just show up. I know-I know you’re probably tired, I just didn’t know where else to go.” She sounds so sad right now, and I hate it.
“What time did your parents come get her?”
Laken rests her cheek against my chest. “They left about two hours ago. Nicole was gone, and I just kept sitting there by myself crying.” She shrugs. “I just started walking and ended up here.”
“Come sit on the sofa.” I lead her over and set her down. “I’m going to jump in the shower real quick. When I get out, if you’re hungry I’ll make us something to eat.”
I hand her the TV remote and kiss her lips. In the bathroom, I take the world’s shortest shower and hop out. I quickly handle all of my business, throw on a pair of cutoff sweatpants, and head into the living room.
The pain in her eyes makes my chest hurt. Her eyes are rimmed red, and tears steadily slide down her cheeks. All I know is I’d do anything to make her smile right now. I sit next to her and pull her until she’s sideways on my lap.
“I’m sorry I’m such a down…”
I cover her lips with my hand. “Stop it, right now. I care about you, Laken, and I want to be who you turn to when you need someone to lean on.”
She sniffles and gives me a watery smile. “I-I’d like that.” Laken grabs me by my face, tipping my head back, and kissing my lips. It takes all I have not to take control.
Laken shifts in my lap until she’s straddling me. I groan as she rubs her pussy against my dick that hardens immediately. It’s slight, but I can feel her body shudder as she moans into my mouth.
I stand with her wrapped around me. I blindly carry her to my bed, crawling on it with her attached to me. I lay her down and with all the power I have, I pull away and look down at her.
“Fuck me, you’re beautiful.” Her cheeks are flushed, and I watch the rapid rise and fall of her chest. “When you’re ready for me to stop, just tell me.” Laken nods, and then I lower my head.
Chapter Fifteen
Laken
“When you’re ready for me to stop, just tell me,” Chance says softly before leaning down and kissing me.
God, he’s such a good kisser. Is there anything this man can’t do? I slide my hands up his back. His skin is warm and soft against my fingertips. Chance’s lips travel down my neck, causing goose bumps to pop up all over my body.
His wet hair tickles my overheated skin. He reaches the hem of my t-shirt and slowly pushes it up and over my head. He looks me over and licks his lower lip. “Take your bra off.”
I reach between my breasts, unhooking the little closure, and freeing my breasts. Every part of me wants to cover myself, still not completely comfortable in
