Caught Between Three Billionaire Tycoons - Willa Hart Page 0,19

me and the sun peeked out from behind one of the storm clouds, lighting her up. The honey blonde hair that looked so dark from getting soaked in the storm seemed to glow. It was like a dark rope woven with threads of gold. Her dark eyes were as quick as ever, taking me in and sweeping the scenery at the same time.

She was wearing snugly fitted jeans and hiking boots. She wore her usual baggy sweater, but this was the first time I had seen her in anything that defined her legs. She usually wore baggy slacks, sometimes a long skirt.

I wanted to stand in place and watch her walk past me so I could see those graceful legs stretching out, then enjoy the rear view of her curvy ass pressing against the tight denim.

I fell into a contemplation of her beauty so hard that I didn’t take in the real details. She was wet, drenched actually. I didn’t know enough about this situation to make any judgements, but she would need to get dry and warm.

As the moments passed between us, Whitney smiled, and I felt my entire body lighting up in response. The silence between us has never been awkward, but it often felt loaded with atmosphere and promise.

The damp clothes had made her sent even deeper and richer. It was as if every fiber of my being was trying to get to her, reaching out to embrace her.

And take her.

The man parts of me might tell me she needed warmth, shower and food before being ravished senseless, but my bear side was wondering why we didn’t just fling her to the ground and claim her right now. The bear in me preferred the mud, the loose leaves, the scent of pine…

An image of Whitney spread out on the forest floor filled my mind. Even though it was summer now, my mind played on pictures of fall. Whitney laid out across rippling shades of autumn leaves. Her blonde hair tangling in them as her brown eyes reflected the gold of the sleeping forest.

I barely suppressed a deep growl. It vibrated through me, but I held it in with extreme difficulty.

I knew bringing her out to the wilderness would trigger my deeper instincts. Out here, with my bear so close, primal emotions easily override my human conditioning. I couldn’t stop staring at her, and I couldn’t hide my reaction to her.

My body throbbed as I tried to stay in place and not wrestle her to the ground.

I couldn’t believe that I had gotten so lucky to spend time out here with this beautiful creature. Even though she was supposed to be working, I couldn’t help but be excited that she agreed. It was isolated here, and she still had agreed to come here, putting her trust in me.

I had been biding my time long enough, and I knew it was time to follow through on the imprinting my bear had begun.

I could hear excited screams from the house as the kids started running around and playing. She looked up with a smile.

“I’ll take you over to your cabin soon.” I spoke quickly, so she didn’t get the impression I was intending for her to stay with me. I had to move slowly if I wanted to win her. For a few moments we shared a heavy look that spoke a thousand volumes to me.

Then she looked at my feet again. I tried to come up with a decent excuse but still found my mind blank. Hopefully, she didn’t ask directly.

“Are you sure everything is okay?” There was a strange edge to her tone I’ve never heard before. She was truly uncomfortable.

“I was just going for a walk.”

“Barefoot?” The word bounced out of her and she pressed her lips together as if she wished she could take it back.

“It’s uh… Back to nature ritual. Yeah. You know, these routines you can use for mindfulness and grounding? Walking barefoot on the earth increases your magnetic charge...”

Or some shit like that. Honestly, I didn’t know. It was all I had, though.

My eyes caught the movement of the strange guy at the vehicles again. Suddenly, he was the only thing I could think about and I couldn’t believe I had let myself get distracted.

Although, if anything in this world could distract me, it would be Whitney.

“What’s this about a ditch?”

She looked so panicked for a second I was sorry I brought it up. Still, my kid just mentioned they ‘went into’ a
