Caught Between Three Billionaire Tycoons - Willa Hart Page 0,14
me of Aleksy for a second.
I tried not to let my mind go wandering in that direction. How complicated did I want my life to be?
The guy got out of the car and I felt my breath taken from my lungs. He was tall and graceful, a pair of old, soft jeans settled nicely against his muscular legs. His arms bulged under his gray sweater as he got the wire out to winch the car.
He waved through the back window.
“Hey guys! Bit exciting for you, huh?”
They both responded with enthusiasm and laughter. It seemed like the kids caught the same vibe I did, and this guy is totally cool. He made me feel completely at ease, and I didn’t even wonder too much about it. He’s like my knight, since he showed up at a time like this and oozed chivalry and gentle charm.
Get ahold of yourself, Whitney.
I took a step forward just before he attached the wire to the car. I stuck my hand out.
“By the way. I’m Whitney.”
“A lovely name.” He stopped what he was doing to give me his full attention. When he took my hand, a warm jolt ran through my entire body and when he smiled, it seemed to tug on things deeper within me.
“Nice to meet you, Whitney. My name is Zavier.”

From the moment I saw the car in the ditch, I knew someone was in trouble. Visibility was almost zero, but I could see the taillights pointing in the entirely wrong direction. As I crept closer in my truck, I saw the angle of the car and I knew this was trouble for someone.
I was ready to leap out of the car and start looking for survivors when I saw the woman standing by the car with a big branch in her hand.
She looked so forlorn. Her hair was plastered to her face and neck.. Her eyes were soft and dark, probably a velvety brown, should I get close enough to see.
She looked so lost and lonely, all I wanted to do was dash from my truck and wrap my arms around her. I wanted to drag her into the warmth of my car and feed her hot chocolate. Yeah, she was fucking cute, but something about her stance made my heart go out to her.
She was lost. She might be only just starting to realize that, but this poor woman didn’t know if she was coming or going. She needed a strong hand to guide her, someone to look out for her.
She needed me.
When she looked up her eyes were wide with fear and a strange expectation. Her day had been steadily getting worse, and now she was resigned to the fact that it was truly in the shitter. Like this is the moment the axe wielding maniac shows up and truly finishes a round of bad luck.
So, I stayed in my seat, even though it cost me. I wound down the window and tried to talk to her in the gentlest way I could.
I wanted to help her, but she wouldn’t let me if she thought I was a threat.
That’s when I saw the kids.
A beautiful blonde boy and gorgeous little girl with dark hair. I couldn’t see much through the rain and the condensation on the window, but I naturally figured they were hers. My interest levelled up a notch when she said she was their nanny.
I had to watch my vibes. I was so attracted to her I didn’t want to come on too strong. The last thing I wanted to do was scare her. She needed help, and if she didn’t take my help, she would be sitting out here for a very long time. Maybe too long. Long enough for something to happen.
These woods weren’t always safe. I knew firsthand.
Once I had her reassured, I got out and started getting the wire and winch ready. She introduced herself and I did the same.
Whitney. Whitney.
A beautiful name. Even standing soaked in the rain like this, she’s beautiful. I didn’t rush with the winch.
“What are you doing out driving in weather like this? You can’t be local.”
“No, no. It’s a vacation for the kids. I was hoping to find a phone or something so I could call Aleksy.”
My hair bristled immediately. My inner savage nature responded to the threat and the implications.
She had a husband and he let her get all this way out here with no help? What an asshole!
“Is that your husband?” I said quietly, with as
