made it happen that we trapped the Titans in the Pits of Tartarus. They could have maneuvered this with the Olympians at any time.
What the fuck had my family done that the Fates wanted them dead for good?

I
guess I just assumed since we were going to Olympus to kill a bunch of gods so they didn’t attack the Underworld that Hades would come with us and help. I knew he could leave the Underworld because he showed up at my clinic to trick me before he kidnapped me. I knew Persephone could leave too because my monsters had told me all about her shopping trips to Earth.
Hades informed us he wasn’t coming, and Persephone was going to stay in his castle with a fresh set of bodyguards while we were gone. I thought that was a total shit thing to do until he told us why. Hephaestus could only be in three places—Olympus, his forge, or the Underworld. Ares was trying to break into the forge now, and Zeus wasn’t even entertaining the notion he was still in Olympus.
So far, he’d only brought Ares in on this plan, but he might bring someone else in to check the Underworld. Hades needed to be there for that, and I don’t think any of us wanted Persephone put in danger. We hadn’t killed Demeter to rescue her just to have her string cut in Olympus. That would totally shatter Hades.
We were finally ready to go. I was dressed in a badass, custom Pavlina outfit with Hephaestus’s daggers strapped in several places all over my body. Pavlina looked sexy as fuck in her own outfit. Pavlina even agreed to make Demos's clothes when he asked her to, and his ass looked amazing in those tight black trousers.
Kimon was in worn brown trousers and nothing else. I’d seen the two swords he fought with in the arena, and now he had two new ones strapped to his back forged by Hephaestus with the ability to kill Olympians. He had been so excited when he saw the weapons and talked about how well made they were. I knew how much he wanted to keep them, but I didn’t know if Hades and Hephaestus were going to destroy them when this was all over. I knew Hephaestus, though. He’d make Kimon a brand-new set because he liked them so much.
Tryphon looked ready for battle, and he wasn’t fucking around. He usually wore these colorful blue and green robes and matching nail polish. His robe was black with a hood this time, and his fingernails and toenails were painted black with some glitter. He was also sporting heavy guyliner, and I wanted to eat him up.
Charley and Finn were coming with us, and so were Solron and my father. They must have been wearing Hell battle gear because their clothing was similar. It looked a lot like something you would wear to a sex club, and I was trying to avoid looking at my father in tight black leather with metal spikes.
I still had no idea how we were actually getting to the gates of Olympus. I was getting pretty good at making portals to go places, but they had a distinctive glow that would give away our location if anyone was awake and looking at the gates. It was the same for all the demons here. Maybe it was different for Olympians. I didn’t know because I passed out before Hades brought me down here. I was still mad about that, by the way.
We were all gathered in the courtyard waiting with Hades, who kept looking at his watch like he was waiting for something. He checked his watch for probably the tenth time before it read what he wanted it to read.
“It’s time. Are you all ready?”
“I’ve been ready for this since that bitch cursed me,” Pavlina grunted.
“Poseidon earned this,” Tryphon growled.
Hades just sighed.
“Remember, we aren’t killing everyone. Just the ones who want the knife or those you have a beef with.”
Demos tossed his hair over his shoulder and struck a pose worthy of a teenage girl.
“What if they sass me?”
Hades pinched the bridge of his nose and groaned.
“No killing if they backtalk. Only kill if you have no choice, and that doesn’t mean because you don’t like something someone says to you. I mean it. I will hold every last one of you accountable. Now, step back.”
Hades held his hand up and practically cut a hole in the air with his finger. It
