would’ve brought a lesser man to his knees. Actually, it was probably a good thing I was already seated. Her nails raked my scalp down to my shoulders, and it awakened my inner caveman. That was the only explanation for what happened next. One second, I was kissing her softly, exploring that sweet mouth. The next, I’d flipped her around in one smooth motion, and with a squeak, she was suddenly straddling my lap, a knee on either side of my hips.
And through all of that, I never stopped kissing her.
Never wanted to. I was convinced it would take an act of God to pry my lips from her body—or her saying no, of course. She’d stilled in my lap, and when I looked up, she was staring at me, those big brown eyes of hers wide.
“Do you want to stop?” I asked, fearing the answer. I’d never been this hot for a girl this quickly. But if she’d changed her mind, I’d stop in a heartbeat.
“No, definitely not,” she said, and I could breathe again. I’d been so afraid I was moving too fast, but the smile in her voice and on her lips put me at ease. “I’m just impressed. Those were some nice moves.”
“You’re good for my ego,” I said.
“Hmm, those other girls weren’t lying.”
My brow furrowed. “Other girls?” I asked.
“Yeah,” she breathed, dropping a kiss on my cheek, jaw, neck and then up the other side. It was having a drugging effect, my eyelids dropping as I tried to make sense of what she said. “You’re definitely living up to your reputation.”
Her kisses were making me woozy, but still I had to ask.
“Girls talk about me?” I said.
“Oh yeah,” she said, running a hand up my cheekbone. “All good things, all the time.”
Huh, I thought while kissing her neck, running the tip of my nose behind her ear. As I watched goosebumps appear there, I fought back a smile. This girl was definitely good for my ego.
“I didn’t know I had that kind of rep,” I said. “It’s usually my brother who gets all the girls.”
“Your brother?” she asked.
“Yeah,” I said, placing a kiss against a spot on her neck that made her gasp. “I have a few of those.”
“Oh, I know. But my friend Charlie called you the hot O’Brien.”
I wasn’t going to argue. “Sounds like a smart girl.”
“I don’t see why anyone would talk about your brother anyway,” she said. “You’re so good at this.”
This girl was something else.
“Honor,” I said, voice rough.
“Yeah?” she said.
“No more talking. You good with that?”
She nodded as I got closer to her lips. “Yes, please.”
And things escalated from there.
Her hands were everywhere, my chest, shoulders, stomach, her hips pressed tight against mine. I couldn’t stop kissing her neck, her mouth, anywhere I could reach. It was like a game of give and take, but all I wanted to do was give her the best night of her life, so she’d want to have me back for another…and another. I never wanted her to forget my name.
My hand traveled up her thigh until it was just beneath the hem of her dress.
“This okay?” I asked between kisses, my fingers brushing against her upper thigh, waiting for the go ahead.
“Yes,” she breathed. “Please.”
It was the “please” that did it.
My fingers traveled the rest of the way, under her skirt and up to find her core. She was wet already. Damn.
I kissed her deeply, rubbing my thumb in a circular motion against her, slanting my mouth over hers, learning what she liked. Her eyes were shut, cheeks flushed, mouth parted slightly, and I didn’t think I’d ever seen anything more beautiful in my life. As she raised her hips to meet the movements of my hand, I nearly exploded. Leaning in, I placed another long kiss against her neck, my other hand supporting her back.
“Oh,” she breathed as her movements became faster.
“That’s right, Honor,” I said. “I’ve got you.”
“I feel like…”
“It’s okay,” I said again. “I’ve got you, baby.”
She gripped my shoulders, one moving to my neck as she threw her head back. I’d never felt more like a man. Never felt more powerful than in that moment of giving her pleasure. Never felt more proud of myself as she suddenly tensed and stilled, her mouth dropping open. And then…
“Oh Baylor!” she said as she came.
I couldn’t believe it.
My hand still between her legs, I froze. “What did you say?”
“Hmm,” she said, eyes opening slowly as she came down from her
