Voiceless - M. Sinclair Page 0,14
shot up at who I assumed to be Luca and I swallowed nervously. What the hell were these boys eating? I mean fucking hell. This man was not as bulky as Dylan but still massive. Dressed in a pair of dress pants, loafers, and a light tan sweater that highlighted his golden blonde hair and dark velvet brown eyes.
Holy guacamole.
Maker have mercy, this was unfair. A small whine broke from my throat as his leather scent invaded my lungs and my knees almost broke. An intense wave of desire crashed over me as his eyes darkened. The connection between us instantaneous and like a tightly pulled string.
I blinked, trying to clear the lust induced haze and trying to step back.
His throat produced a rumble that had me stopping in my tracks. I frowned and looked as Lena stepped into the room, someone waiting in the doorway was blocked from my line of sight by Luca.
“Want me to translate?” she asked, amused.
I huffed as I signed to her, Luca not allowing distance between us. “Can you just tell him it’s good to meet him?”
Lena grinned and spoke it out loud, making me draw my eyes up to the man, his hand coming out to cup my jaw gently. I shivered as he dipped his head down, pressing a kiss to my nose before releasing me and walking out of the room.
What the hell?
My eyebrows rose as I tried to ignore the loss I felt at the sudden lack of his body heat. I looked over to a chuckling Dylan.
“Where did he go?” I signed to Lena.
“To learn sign language,” she offered, shrugging. “The guys a nut job, he’ll be back sooner than you think and knowing it perfectly.”
I rolled my eyes, not believing that he would really do that. I was just glad he didn’t seem to leave because of something I did.
“Want us to show you around?” Dylan offered.
Lena stood up and walked past the third brother I’d avoided looking in the eye. Finally, though, I let my eyes trail up the massive mountain of a man. From his dark leather boots and jeans, to his dark shirt. When I reached his face, I nearly scowled. He couldn’t have been ugly? No seriously, that’s honestly just a bit frustrating. His dark green eyes heated on mine. The entire expression somewhat predatory as I tried to resist the urge to do something weird like cross the room and run my hands through his wild shaggy dark hair.
He stepped forward, his chest producing a low vibration/growl that sounded terrifying, causing me and my fox to still.
I swallowed nervously, not entirely sure he wouldn’t try to hunt and kill us, because it wasn’t like wolves didn’t occasionally kill foxes. We were small prey, and they were bigger predators.
My breathing heightened as he stepped forward again causing me to shrink just slightly. Don’t get me wrong, there wasn’t just fear associated with this. I was really fucking turned on. Not to mention the fact the man reeked of dominance and power, so painfully clear that he was the Alpha of their pack. I couldn’t help but be a bit scared. I was just hoping that he would want to fuck me more than kill me.
Because I very much wanted the former.
“Stop scaring her,” Dylan growled as I crossed my arms.
His brother’s head snapped to the side as his brow furrowed in what looked like confusion. Maybe he just didn’t realize how fucking intense he was.
I let out an embarrassing squeak as he shot across the room, scooping me up instantly and nearly knocking the breath out of me due to the surprise.
“Hunter,” Dylan sighed.
I relaxed though because now that I was sitting on top of his crossed arms, we were eye level and my fox felt far better. I was used to being short, but this man was exceptionally big so I appreciated that he had somehow instinctively known how to fix our issue.
I offered him a slight smile as he examined my face and watched my pulse momentarily, probably cueing into the fact that I was calming down. I was positive he also knew I was ridiculously turned on, but I was hoping he would be a gentleman and not bring that up. Especially since I was turned on for not one, but three different reasons.
“Don’t be scared of me,” he demanded, and the command sparked something in me causing me to nod and relax into him. I could tell Hunter was different
