chest draping down my back, my arm tightly wrapped around her upper thighs.

“Anyone else in this house?” I ask.

“Just my father and his gopher.”

I hear a second gunshot and I smirk to myself. Looks like they found his gopher. There’s a moment of silence as I jog down the staircase, Leighton bouncing against my back with each step that I take.

“Fuck,” Dragon grunts.

“Daughter,” I explain.

“Christo,” Silver grinds out.

“Let’s just get the fuck out, she won’t be a problem, will you, sugar?”

She doesn’t respond, my eyes find Dragon’s and I shrug. “See, no problems here.”

The once three, now four of us leave the house and head toward the van. I drop Leighton in the back, climb in, and slam the doors behind us. Dragon and Silver climb in the front seat and before the cameras turn back on, we’re off and headed toward the storage unit.

Chapter Two

LEIGHTON

I watch as he takes the mask off. I don’t know his name, what group he’s affiliated with or anything. He could be worse than my father, but right now, watching him, I’m glad he took me. The plans that my father had laid out for me sounded like the worst nightmare I could ever come up with.

Though I always know that you should only trust the devil you know, and these men I do not know. At least with him, I knew my father. I knew the evil he was capable of. I don’t know the evil that these men are capable of committing. But now I’m at their mercy.

We pull up to a warehouse in the middle of an industrial park. I almost ask what we’re doing here, but they pretend as though I don’t exist, all but the one who saved me. He looks directly into my eyes, his black ones practically sparkling.

“You stay here. You leave, I’ll hunt you down myself,” he grinds out.

“What’s in there?” I chance asking.

He frowns, shaking his head once. “You don’t wanna know, mi reina, but you’ll soon find out.”

I watch him leave, following his brethren into the warehouse building, but not before they shoot the man guarding the door. He drops as though he’s made of lead, straight to the ground. My lips part in awe, but what happens next makes my stomach cramp.

One by one, in a straight line, ten girls walk out of the warehouse. They are dirty and skinny. Their hair is matted and ratted. Their clothes are just scraps of fabric, panties and a bra, nothing else. Tears prick my eyes, because I know exactly what and who they are. Their faces are different, their purpose the same.

They file into the van, none of them fighting, all of them looking resigned. My stomach clenches. I look at the men, then back to the girls. The sexy as shit one that kidnapped me, his dark eyes meet mine.

“What happens to them?” I ask, trying not to sound demanding.

He tilts his head to the side. “Shouldn’t you be asking what happens to you?”

Shaking my head, I look down to my hands, they’re twisting and trembling. Lifting my gaze back to meet his, I shake my head. “I don’t care what happens to me. Just don’t let them be hurt another second,” I say, attempting to sound brave.

His brows knit together, then he shakes his head once. He doesn’t respond to me. Instead, he turns his head away, looking toward the front seat. The men drive in silence, the girls are quiet too, no doubt drugged and trained to keep their mouths shut.

We arrive at another building, it’s nondescript, plain and in the middle of nowhere in the desert. My entire body starts to tremble and I think the worst. They’re going to kill us out here, leave our bodies for the buzzards.

I watch as a man and a woman walk out of the building. Blinking, I look at the man next to me. He shifts his gaze to me, but only for a second. Then I watch as he jerks his chin. The back of the van doors open.

The woman stands there, she lifts her hand to her mouth, tears filling her eyes. “Come with me, girls. We’ll get you all cleaned up.”

The girls start to file out, one by one. I make a move to follow when the man at my side wraps his hands around my waist, tugging me down to my ass next to him.

“Not you, Leighton. You’re mine,” he grinds out.

Turning my head, I look over at him. “I’m
