The Tracker Hive Academy Year One - Avery Song Page 0,79
with Zion's medication was that it had no side effects. Since it was so specialized and created to cater to my body’s needs, I wouldn't experience the numerous side effects I had with my old medications.
No dizziness, nausea, fever, the never-ending usual side effects or the serious ones like suicidal thoughts or voices.
He was going to make a trial batch that I'd be able to start tomorrow and would last through the holidays and into the second semester. That way, it would give him enough time to see if it was working or not.
If so, he'd make a large batch that would last me a good while until I was ready to taper off it. I personally felt I wouldn't need it after I left this school, seeing as I had no problems prior to attending after stopping my pills for more than six months.
His thoughtfulness and dedication to it all had brought us closer, and getting to spend the nights playing Mario Kart and other videogames was a bonus.
I was definitely taking it slow with him and Zackery, but it balanced out because my relationships with Zeus and Zeke were progressing quickly.
Since my night with Zeke, I'd honestly felt this Hive thing would work. It wasn't something I was pressured into or that we were doing for the power and nothing more. I liked each of them and having that level of commitment start with Zeke seemed to be the foundation I needed.
Now that my week with Zeus was halfway done, I wondered if we'd go the next mile from spontaneous kissing after my playful taunts to piss him off.
I really couldn't help it. When he was mad, it was really hot, and a total turn on. I still worried about him popping a vein, but that's why there were emergency kits around the school.
We could fix a vein or two with some gauze, right?
"How did Zackery lose the instructions? I know he has his moments of being a klutz, but he loses things, too?" I questioned.
Zeus stopped to put the watch on my wrist, checking the size as a trial. I moved my wrist around as he responded to my question.
"He loses everything in his room. It's a war zone in there. World War III. If you give him something, make sure he's not heading into his room or it'll be lost for all eternity," Zeus explained, walking again until we reached my locker.
I skipped over to my new locker, which was right next to my guys’.
Yes. I now claimed them as mine. Who else would be able to handle them?
After my locker was vandalized, the four of them had nagged Tanner until he gave in and changed it in the system. I could have easily asked Alaric, but he was on an assignment with Bianca, leaving Tanner in charge until they returned next week.
"Does that mean if I go to his room, I'll be lost forever?" I inquired happily, ready to tug my locker open when Zeus's hand slammed onto it.
I blinked and slowly looked over to him, but his eyes were narrowed on my new locker. "Back up for a second."
"Zeus, there's nothing in there," I countered. "I just got it.”
"Then you wouldn't care about me being overprotective," he replied, his eyes locking with mine.
With a shrug, I did what he asked, moving back to let him open it. When he did, we both looked at the empty locker before staring at one another.
"See?"
"It's better to be safe than sor—"
A flood of water burst out of the locker, drenching the both of us. We stood there in silence, glancing to our soaked attire before looking to the locker that was still spilling water onto the school’s tile floor.
"So...which one of your brothers pranked us?" I inquired.
Zeus groaned, pulling out his phone, which must have been waterproof because it was working just fine. I'd given my phone to Shadow Jade, who was chilling in Tanner's office while he worked on grading our papers.
She could have come with us to check out the locker, but she was tired and was going to end up napping.
I knew for sure that this prank wasn't some random person, because Zeus would have sensed it far earlier. There wasn't a foreign energy that reminded me of the trap Zackery and I had walked into.
It honestly did feel like Zackery was the one who did it, but the water element was all Zion, which left me wondering if they did it together.
