The Tracker Hive Academy Year One - Avery Song Page 0,30

everyone?"

Looking up, I had to do a double take. The same guy I'd bumped into was now in front of me. "Either you're really good at using the wind element, or you just did a magic trick," I determined, but bit my lip when my fire and thunder elements began to react.

What the hell is going on?

The guy was giving me a strange look. "Four elements?"

His voice was different, a slightly higher tone, though it wasn't so dissimilar that the average person would pick up on it.

"Excuse me?" I asked.

"Zackery," Bianca announced.

His name is Zackery? Hmm. That doesn't match the dark mood from a second ago.

"What? She's hot and tugging at my elements. I'm intrigued." Zackery smirked, a playfulness shooting through his eyes. That's when I noticed they went from black to an orange-gold.

Wait.

"Hold on. You're not the hottie with the sexy voice." I pointed to him accusingly, and turned around to bump into someone else. "Who keeps entering my path?"

"I didn't think she'd turn around that fast," an extremely calm voice stated, the sound so soothingly rich I had to open my eyes and stare at the same guy again.

My water and earth elements were tugged forward, feeling the similar energy pulsing off this guy.

"Triplets?" I concluded, not having to look past him or behind me to realize all six of my elements were reacting.

"Six elements," the calm guy declared, and for a second his eyes flashed a teal blue.

"Eight."

I turned to my left and literally gawked, something I rarely got caught doing. My ice and spirit elements were now up and ready to fight for first in line.

No fucking way. This can't be real.

The guy I'd bumped into three other times stood there with his hands in his pockets. His eyes were shining green with hints of black.

Taking a look in all four cardinal directions, I realized I was surrounded by hot, sexy quadruplets.

My body felt like it was on fire, all of my elements fighting to manifest. Biting my lip, I tried not to show how strongly this was affecting me, but I began to struggle, trying to calm my elements from their little power war.

"Zackery, Zion, Zeus, and Zeke." Bianca's voice was ice cold. "Turn it off, now."

The four of them frowned in unison, but the tugging sensation finally began to abate.

I took a deep inhale, letting it out slowly. My dark element took the longest, Shadow Jade still hyped up, but I knew where it was coming from, turning my attention to the guy I'd bumped into first.

"You're Zeke, aren't you?" I questioned.

"What makes you think that?" His smooth voice had that seductive, taunting tone to it.

"It's a sexy name. So is Zeus, but he looks scary over there," I answered.

I caught the calm one smirking, giving me the impression he was Zion.

There was a hearty laugh from behind me, pulling my attention to Zackery.

"Jeez, Zeus. If you laid off on the scowl, we'd be able to blend in a lot better. Meet a random girl and she's able to identify us like we're wearing name tags."

"Fuck off," Zeus grumbled. "Only because she apparently carries all the elements."

"Isn't that rare?" Zackery questioned, walking around me. "My elements never react like that. I almost forgot we were at school."

"It would be nice if I knew who the hell you four are before you start asking twenty-one questions while checking me out," I disclosed.

"From the girl who was checking Zeke out for a full two minutes."

"It was a minute and twenty-six seconds," I corrected, giving him a snarky smile. "And I'm allowed to check him out."

"You're allowed but we aren't?"

"Of course you aren't. It would be narcissism if you started checking out your quadruplet over there. Do that with yourself in the mirror."

Zackery covered his mouth, but his snickers were clearly audible.

Zion cleared his throat, hiding his amusement with his hand. Zeke was grinning, giving me a full display of his dimples.

I have to jump this man. I need five minutes alone with him. I hope he's good in the bedroom with all that sexiness. Jeez, I'm falling hard for a stranger. Or well...strangers? It's clearly only my elements acting up. Why am I reacting to them?

Bianca cleared her throat. "Seeing as the five of you are new, you might as well introduce yourselves before we go on this tour. Maxwell quadruplets, you go first."

"They don't need to introduce themselves anymore. I got it. They can be called The Trouble Four," I declared.

"The Trouble Four?" Zion wondered.
