Their Forever - Chloe Kent Page 0,73
Bethy on her own, with only John’s help.
Liam's words, just how he had taken her virgin pussy to make her his, Kade would take her virgin ass, to make her his had tortured her all day.
But above that. Liam's jaw clenching when she verbally declared her love for him. Kade saying her name for the first time as he moved behind her to own a part of her. He never called her anything but Mrs. Stone and her name from his lips had filled her heart to capacity, shared with the half she had already given to Liam.
Yet how could she belong to another man under the current circumstances of her marriage.
Every day that went by, and Kade remained on the scene, was another day that Liam believed she didn't love him. She didn't know how else to make him see otherwise, even if it just meant him allowing her to say those words to him.
She couldn't go on this way any longer.
The cruelty of it came down to one thing. In order to love her husband, for him to believe her, she had to stop loving Kade.
Frustrated, she threw her hairbrush across the room, unable to pretend everything was as fine as Liam dictated it was.
She hated that she loved Kade. She hated that Liam had brought him into what had been their perfectly happy lives, and now everything was out of balance. Because she loved both men equally down to her last breath.
She wrapped her arms around her tummy and leaned forward as her tears dripped down onto the carpet. A soft knock on the door brought a smiling Lydia into the room carrying a tray of herbal tea.
Lydia had taken extra care of Olivia since her punishment in the Black Room. Usually, the older woman just smiled knowingly at Olivia, but even she could see the appearance of Kade had changed everything for her.
Noticing her tearstained face, Lydia took her into her arms and rocked her.
“There now, child. It's never as bad as it looks.”
“I love them both, Lydia,” she sobbed.
“I know you do, and I know you think you have to choose between them, but I think you need to trust that Liam knows what he's doing.”
“Why won't he accept I love him?”
“I think deep down he does. That's why he's never given you up, dear. Don't you see it? Had it been any other woman, he would have had her out the door in a heartbeat. And Kade, well, the bond between them runs deeper than blood. To me, it makes sense that they came to love the same woman.
“Now, let's get you dressed. You don't want to be late for your date with Liam.” She guided Olivia to the chair at her vanity, picked up the brush from the floor and proceeded to brush Olivia's hair.
“Liam called, and said he was running late and would meet you at the theater. Now drink this. I think you need to calm your nerves some, my dear.”
Again, Olivia nodded.
“You can't control the future. Unfortunately, us plain people are nothing like the men Liam and Kade are who write their own futures. All you can do is think about the next thing you have to do. Dress up beautifully for Liam and enjoy the theater with him. One little step at a time.”
She followed Lydia's advice, and with the older woman's help, got dressed. She wore a pale-pink-lace gown that looked more like scraps of lace pieced together around her body, accentuating her tiny waist and slim thighs. Floor length, the front dipped into a neat V, affording her a modest amount of cleavage. She kept her hair cascading down her back freely.
Knots trapped the air in her body as she descended the staircase. She didn't know how to act, couldn't explain the sensations drifting over her at the thought of seeing Kade again since he was going to be driving her.
Half of her wanted to turn around and lock herself away forever. But she was a big girl, and she had to face what lay ahead of her. Her heart pounded; her blood sizzled. She dug her hands into her palms as she stepped out of the massive double doors of the house's entrance.
She couldn't see him again. Not after he saw her at her basest level. Not after he took a part of her that no other man had touched, a part Liam had calculatingly preserved, and she never bothered to question why.
She bit her lip
