Royally Chosen Christmas (Royal Sons MC #7) - Elle Boon Page 0,27
You got someone tailing that sister of yours? I didn’t like the look on her face as she drove away.”
He tore his eyes away from the road where her vehicle had been. “What the fuck you talking about?”
“Brother, she had the look of a desperate woman. You were too busy trying not to notice that she’s not the little girl you needed to protect or some shit. That girl who just drove out of here, is a woman who’s on the verge of a freak out or maybe break out. Trust me, I know shit like that.” T-Rex turned on his size fourteen shitkickers and walked back toward the clubhouse.
“Yo, T, what the hell brought you down here?” Hollywood hollered.
“You might want to check out downtown LA and the street takeovers going on. I hear there’s some hot chicks who show up, some even racing.”
“What the fuck, man? If you know something you need to fucking tell me instead of this bullshit.” He started after the hulk of a man, unafraid of getting his ass handed to him.
“Hey what’s all the yelling out here?” Cosmo walked around his house wearing a pair of slacks and a button-down shirt.
“Dammit, T, I’m not playing.” He halted when he lost sight of the other man. “You’d think a giant couldn’t move that fast through the woods.
Cosmo nodded. “You’d think. What did he do?”
He opened his mouth then closed it, not wanting to repeat a rumor he wasn’t sure had anything to do with his sister. Shit, she had him tied up in knots and had since he’d caught her laying out by the pool in three tiny triangles. Fuck, his dick jerked beneath the fly of his jeans at the memory.
“Kid sisters would be hard on big brothers, especially ones who looked like yours. I don’t know how you don’t have a personal security guard following her every second of the day,” Cosmo said with a shake of his head.
Hollywood had thought of doing just that but stopped short of acting on it. He did have a tracker on her cell, her car, and even on a couple pieces of jewelry he knew she never took off. Call him paranoid, but when you were worth as much money as Haven Corp, he figured it was better to be safe than sorry.
“She’d throw a fit and then rebel. I learned to pick my battles. From what Blockhead said, it looks like I need to head to town tonight and check out some street racing.” He shouldn’t call his friend names, especially when T-Rex hadn’t done anything except warn him about something that may or may not have to do with Talena. Logic and jealousy had nothing in common when it came to him and his feelings.
“That Blockhead will bust his knuckles on your hard head if you give him any shit,” Cosmo warned.
His fellow MC brothers didn’t know about his background, other than the fact he was a rich playboy who owned a corporation. They thought he was the male version of Talena, and he liked it that way. “I’ll send him a case of his favorite liquor as an apology.”
“I’d add something for Koko too. You know that dragon is his favorite thing on this planet.” Cosmo slapped him on the back before turning back the way he’d come. “By the way, tell your sister thanks for giving Tai all that shit. Most of it was brand new or close enough. I hadn’t even thought to get some of what she’d brought.”
Hollywood tipped his head to the side. “What did she give her?” He assumed it was clothes and shit since she had a closet the size of a normal person’s bedroom.
“Shit, brother, she brought her some purses with the LV logo and matching wallets, some female stuff my woman was too shy to ask for but was so damn excited to try on right then and there. I thought she was going to break something getting out of the clothes she wore. Damn, brother, I swear to you as my witness, every motherfucking day, I find myself wishing I could kill some fuckers all over again. Each time I see her eyes light up when she gets something given to her, because she’d never received a gift before, I want to rush out and give her the world. Of course, at the same time I’m fighting a battle within myself not to hunt down anyone who had ever hurt her. I’m going
