with some other kind of supernaturals…” Griffin shakes his head.
“It’s unheard of,” Nos adds.
“Peachy,” I mutter. “So witches are working with supes, using spells and shit to change people—”
“Explains why there was no trace at the warehouse or why they are able to stay hidden. Witches’ powers, especially if there is a coven, would be able to hide a whole fucking organisation.” Griffin bangs his fist on the table.
“But why are supes abducting other supes?” I inquire calmly.
“Who the fucks knows? Why did they create me, why did they create other monsters?” Griffin snarls, standing and pacing.
Sighing, I rub my eyes. “Okay, the plan is still the same.”
“We better get started,” Nos says, kissing my head before standing. He leaves me with Griffin and heads to the living room, already dialling on his phone.
Griffin and I share a look with the paperwork between us. “I’ll make more coffee,” he grumbles and I nod, leaning over and spreading it all back out again.
Witches working with supes to abduct other supes, a human crime ring somehow caught in the middle of that, and an ex-husband to kill. When will shit start to make sense?
“It still looks like this club is our best bet. From what I can gather, it’s a front. It’s where they launder their money and a base of operations of sort.” I bite into a cookie as I talk and Dawn looks up from the file she’s searching through.
“Okay, so we go tonight.” She nods, reaching over and grabbing a cookie from my pile.
“What are you going to do about your ex?” I ask, leaning back and taking a break. We have been at it for hours and so has Nos. I can hear him in the other room and from what I’m gathering, trying to get through to people is hard, and when he does they are reluctant to talk—even to him.
She grins, her eyes alight with mischief. “I have a plan.” She winks and I snort.
“Care to share?”
“Nope.” She pops the ‘p,’ nibbling on the cookie as she looks at me.
“Dawn,” I warn and she hums, still eating.
“Don’t worry so much, Griffin,” she teases, and I narrow my eyes on her.
“Do I get to kill him?”
She shakes her head and her eyes go dark for a moment. “No, he’s mine.”
Obviously done talking, she goes back to her file and I roll my eyes, moving back to my laptop and the tedious job of searching through files and CCTV. When her foot strokes up my leg, I raise my eyebrow at her but she ignores me.
Going back to the computer, I freeze when she presses her bare foot into my semi-hard cock.
“Dawn,” I growl, and she licks her lips, looking up at me.
Pushing my chair back with a crash, I mist around the table and snatch her from her chair. Kicking it away, I lay her back on the table, on top of the paperwork, and slam my lips to hers.
She groans, her hands winding in my hair, and with a teasing bite to her lower lip I pull away. I open my mouth to speak but an amused voice form behind me beats me to it.
“I leave you alone for an hour and I come back to this?” Nos laughs.
She grins beneath me and looks over my shoulder. “We were taking a break, you know, passing the time until tonight.” She winks.
“And why wasn’t I invited to this...break?” he inquires, and steps up next to me. Leaning back between her parted thighs, I look from her to him. Her mouth parts in a pant, her eyes light up, and I can practically smell her desire.
I’ve never shared a woman before, hell, I’ve not exactly been with many. Hardly any supes will open their legs to a fallen and humans can’t handle our strength. I thought I would feel disgusted or reject the idea, but watching my mate almost pant from the thought…I find myself grinning. I look over at Nos and nod. “Touch me and die, though, and we don’t cross no fucking swords,” I demand and he laughs.
Turning back to Dawn, I see her eyes widen and swivel from me to Nos and back. Leaning down, I press my lips against her ear, and whisper, “I warned you I would shut you up later.” She shivers against me, moaning slightly.
My cock is so hard now it’s pushing uncomfortably against my jeans, pulsing with the thought of her sweet mouth wrapped around it. Stepping back with her
