Queen Of Sins - Stephanie Hudson Page 0,71

we didn't have enough shit going on! Hence why I wasn't exactly in a hurry to explain the reason everything had happened to her, was thanks to a wife I had kept from her. My bitch ex-wife who was now a witch with a fucking long grudge!

Okay, so technically speaking, I had never divorced her seeing as I thought death was pretty fucking final, first with my own and then hers, something I naturally believed had happened, seeing as she was supposed to be mortal and all. Now I felt like a fucking fool for not checking. But then, after my rebirth, I had walked away from everything associated with my former life. And for good reason. That bitch could have rotted in Hell for all I cared and well… this way I guess she would, as this time I would be the one to fucking kill the bitch!

As for Amelia, I was just trying to save her, but all I had ended up doing was pushing her in to more fucking danger than ever before! I'd fucked up and I swear if it ended up costing my girl her life, then I would never forgive myself!

Never.

And never was a really long fucking time for an immortal. Of course, it was also a really long time to spend trying to get her back because if Amelia was taken from me, it would mean only one thing…

War.

For I would start a fucking war unlike any other, and the first to die by my hand would be that fucking brother whose head I wanted to ground into dust with my hands!

“Hurry the fuck up!” I snapped at Dariush, who was currently creating a portal directly to the Tree of Souls, a place my father had told us Matthias would be. We had left our father’s castle, as he had his own protective spells cast to prevent portals being opened inside, which meant we had to do so on the outskirts. At the very least he had assured me he would meet me in battle when the time came, but right now, going to war was the least of my worries!

“I know I usually make this shit look easy, but creating a portal to a place that's guarded by the fucking Fates themselves isn't fucking easy and nor was it the first time!” he growled in frustration, but it was nothing compared to my own, then again… I had much more to lose.

“Just get it fucking done, and NOW!” I bellowed with the demonic growl of words that couldn't be ignored. However, my brother continued to ignore me, intent on getting the job done as quickly as possible, for even I, in the midst of my rage, could see the struggle on his face. But then this wasn't surprising, as despite how powerful my brother was, the Temple of the Tree of Souls was forbidden for a reason. Yet clearly it wasn't forbidden to all, as my fucked-up brother had found a way in, making the God damn place his own!

Although Lucifer had explained the reason for this. As it was believed to be after I had unknowingly released his power from Tartarus, causing it to seep into the Tree of Souls and infect its roots. This had been what had allowed him access to the Temple. And in there, being so close to the powers Lucifer had drained from him, he would be at his strongest, until he was able to regain them back fully.

I was a fucking idiot!

I had led them straight into a fucking trap, and now I feared the fucking worst!

“Dariush…” I growled his name as my patience was at an end. But suddenly a crack in my father’s realm started to appear, telling me that we were close. I gritted my teeth and clenched my fists to stop myself from barking at him again to get it done quicker, as I knew it wouldn’t help matters. Thankfully, down here he was stronger, as back in the mortal realm he would first need the blood of whoever it was he wished to take with him through the portals he created. Because some portals had the power to rip a body apart. This was because, after my brother was charged with retrieving my soul and my new vessel, he was granted his promise. Lucifer turned him, but in doing so found in him something unforeseen. Because it was unknown at the time that Dariush was actually a descendant of Aeolus,
