Queen Of Sins - Stephanie Hudson Page 0,70

force I knew had the power to kill him. Then, when it became too big to contain, I shot my arms forward and threw the power towards him.

However, my plan had backfired because as soon as it hit him, all he did was go back a step as he absorbed the darkness I had created. He actually looked truly shocked for a moment, as he tried to contain it all and tame it into something usable. The fucker then started to grow again in size and shuddered as if gaining pleasure from the sensation of being overwhelmed by even more power, even more than what the witch had been forced to give him.

“Oh no, this is bad,” I muttered to myself as his eyes turned to that of burning coals, and lightning consumed his body. After he had transformed it into what he wanted, he then looked at me and grinned in the most sadistic way.

“Thanks for the upgrade.” Then, before I could think of what to do, he used it against the last man standing. Because Clay had regained his strength and was now charging his way one more time towards the enemy. Something that lasted only seconds, as Matthias shot that same power I had thrown his way towards my friend, now hitting him with enough force that like Caspian, it threw his body off the cliff.

“NOOOOOO!” I screamed in horror, before running towards the edge of the cliff to see whether they had survived or not. But I never got there, as I was grabbed from behind by what felt like a band of iron. I was then roughly yanked back against the hard chest before a demonic hand found my throat and held me locked to the powerful being at my back.

“Now you’re mine, and thankfully, I have more than one use for you.” His other hand snaked up and grabbed a breast, giving it a painful squeeze, making me try and fight against him. He released it on a laugh and told me in a demonic whisper,

“Oh, I am going to have fun making you my Queen… I love it when they fight back.” After this sickening thought, he turned to the witch and demanded,

“Just in case they managed to survive the fall, seal it and raise the river… as I doubt they will survive the rising lava,” he added with malicious intent and a sickening gleeful tone.

Then I watched as the witch cast a forcefield over the split in the earth, preventing them from getting free should they survive the fall.

“Please… please don’t kill them,” I whispered against his gauntleted hand at my throat, making him band that arm around my waist and pick me up to his massive height. Once there, he then told me,

“Oh, they will burn, make no mistake. And as for you…” He paused his threat as he walked us both over to the portal in the Tree of Souls, and before stepping inside, he looked up and told me,

“So it begins, for I have the Eye, and now the one with the blood as its chosen Gaurdian to use it, for soon every soul on this tree will belong to me, and that flower up there means only one thing…

“Your soul included.”

The Fall and Failure

Lucius

“Fuck… FUCK!” I roared in my fury, first doing so as myself and then as my demon side threatened to erupt. But this wasn't exactly surprising, not after hearing all the shit I had from my father about his fucked-up past!

But now I knew that trying to keep Amelia safe had been in vain, and breaking her fucking heart whilst doing it only made it all the worse! I should have fucking told her! I should have been honest and told her every fucking single sordid detail of my former life! But then, in my defence, it was one I didn't exactly think would come back to haunt me after 2000 years of letting it lie in the dust where it belonged. No, I thought I would have had time as I wasn't the type of person to be forthcoming in my mortal past… as fuck… it was too painful for me to even think of, let alone wanting Amelia to know it all!

This was made even more so after everything that had just happened with the fucking Wraith King and nearly losing her for good. Which meant that I hardly thought it would have been the best time to tell her. It wasn't like
