Never Gonna Happen - Cynthia Eden Page 0,95

lit up. “You do know what I wished for,” she told him. Her voice was warm and confident and so very sexy. “I wished for you.”

“You’ve got me.”

She took the ring. Slid it on her finger. “A perfect fit.”

“Is that a yes?”

“Yes.”

He surged up and scooped her into his arms. His mouth pressed to hers even as his heart raced in his chest.

People were clapping and cheering, but he didn’t look at them. He couldn’t.

He was too busy holding on to his wish.

I will protect her. I will love her.

And Antony doesn’t need to worry because I’ll gladly spend the rest of my life making sure she’s happy.

“That is so friggin’ sweet.” Dex helped himself to a full champagne flute. “Guess you’re about to get a brother-in-law, huh?” He frowned at Antony. “Are you crying?”

Antony sniffed. “Absolutely not.”

Dex still stared at him with suspicion.

“I’m going to congratulate the happy couple.” Winston shouldered past Dex. “Excuse me.”

“I need to congratulate them, too,” Antony quickly said. He was smiling now.

But Dex moved into his path. “You’re really okay with Sebastian marrying your sister?”

“He’d die for her. More importantly, he’d kill.” Antony nodded. “I wanted Alyssa to wind up with a man who loved her more than anything, and she did. So, yes, I’m more than okay with it.” He side-stepped around Dex.

Dex turned and glanced across the large room.

Well, looked like that group had gotten their happy ending.

Good for them.

Too bad we can’t all get endings like that.

Dex noticed that Sebastian had finally let go of Alyssa. Sebastian turned to shake Winston’s hand. Alyssa hugged her brother.

Then Sebastian glanced across the room. His gaze met Dex’s.

Dex inclined his head. He hoped Sebastian realized what a truly fortunate bastard he was. Most people didn’t find a love like the one he and Alyssa had.

When you did find it, you did everything necessary to protect it.

So, yes, he got why Sebastian was leaving the agency, and he’d do his level best to always watch out for the happy couple. He wasn’t a total bastard, after all. Despite what most folks thought, he did have a heart.

Dex raised his flute to Sebastian.

Best of luck. But it wasn’t really about luck, was it? It was about fighting for what mattered. Fighting for the people close to you.

Sebastian had always been one hell of a fighter.

A fighter who’d just gotten his wish granted, even though it wasn’t even Sebastian’s birthday. Dex laughed and drained his champagne.

It was time to party.

The End

Opposites don’t just attract…they explode in CHASE AFTER ME.

Chase After Me

It’s an undercover mission. Get in. Get close to the woman. Get the intel. Get out. Should be easy enough. Right?

Wrong.

Chase Durant’s newest assignment goes wrong from the moment he meets Vivian Wayne. She’s not cold and calculating. The scientist is charming, funny, and absolutely freaking gorgeous. He’s supposed to be seducing secrets out of her. She’s supposed to be a selling classified intel. She’s supposed to be bad.

She’s the best thing he’s ever seen.

Doesn’t take long for the Wilde agent to realize that Vivian has been set-up, and the folks setting her up thought they could use Wilde to do their dirty work. Thought they could use Chase in order to make Vivian vulnerable so that she’d be the perfect target.

Wrong.

Instead of using her, Chase is determined to protect Vivian. The only problem? He’s been lying to her from day one, and things have…heated up between them. More like gone molten. Because Chase wants her more than he’s ever wanted anyone, and he’s not about to step back and let another agent take over her case. Vivian needs protecting, and he’s just the man for the job.

Correction—he’s just the man for Vivian. He just has to prove that he can be the right one for her.

Wrong.

But when Vivian finds out that he’s been lying, how can she trust him? Time is running out, and Vivian’s heart is in tatters. She fell for the wrong man, and now she might pay for that mistake with her life. Chase seemed perfect. He flew past her defenses, and she thought he seemed might be just—

Right.

Chase won’t back down. He won’t give up. He’ll prove to Vivian that she can count on him. Prove to her that he will always put her first. Prove to her that he can be the right man for her. He simply has to destroy her all of enemies and convince Vivian to fall for him once more. Only
