will withdraw from your lands and update our leaders,” the woman said. “We will be keeping a watchful eye on the…Shadowhaven Coven.”

She snapped her fingers, and all three disappeared.

“When do I get to learn to do that type of magic?” I asked.

“Oh, you need new instructors,” Tom said. “I just realized that.”

“Am I chopped liver?” Finnick asked.

“You’re willing to teach me?” I asked and realized that was a stupid question since he had done far more for me recently. “I would be extremely grateful if you taught me.”

He beamed. “I would love to teach you. I’ll also help find Fae and Dhampir instructors for you, too. Do we need werewolf teachers?”

Dad’s eyes narrowed. “Am I chopped liver now?”

Finnick smiled. “A bit.”

Dad swung his fist, but Finnick jumped backward and wagged his finger. “No, no. I learned my lesson the last time. You’re not going to sucker punch me again.”

All of the other Guardians and the other pack members joined us, watching as Dad and Finnick played.

“Thank you all for your protection,” I said and bowed to everyone.

“Witches aren’t supposed to bow to us,” one of the Fae boys said.

I straightened and said, “Well, I’m not like most witches.”

Nick put his arm around my waist and said, “No, you’re much better.”

“I think we all deserve ice cream,” I announced.

Everyone, adults included, cheered at that.

“You did good,” Nick whispered in my ear.

I put my arm around his waist and said, “Thank you for sticking with me.”

“Forever,” he whispered in my ear.

Epilogue

In six months’ time, the infamy of the Shadowhaven Coven spread like wildfire, bringing over fifty teenagers and twenty-something Guardians to join.

Finnick said that many of the other covens were changing their rules as well thanks to backlash from witches who didn’t like their archaic beliefs. Thankfully, the witch’s rulebook said that they could not interfere with a coven until at least one-year post-creation. He felt certain nothing would happen, though, since they were terrified of him and Dad.

Dad and Finnick purchased three additional plots of land, expanding our territory by more than one-hundred acres.

We built housing, a school, three training arenas, two gyms, and a house for me and my Guardians. Of course, Dad forbade us from living there until I turned eighteen, though.

With a year left of school, we returned to the local high school.

Cherry had tackled me the first day and then high-fived me when she saw Caleb.

Caleb made no attempts to hide that we were a couple, which had the rumor mills going crazy because my other Guardians didn’t hide our relationships either.

I didn’t mind being the town whore. It came with four hot guys and backrubs every night, plus other perks they could never know about.

I had no idea what the future had in store for me, but I knew that I had my Guardians at my back, and we were well on our way to our happily ever after.
