His Runaway Mate (Unexpected Mates #4) - Brea Alepou Page 0,59

you feeling sick at all?” Indigo asked.

Logan shook his head. “I haven’t had any of the symptoms, really. They might come and they might not.”

There was a knock at the door. “Wow, you went all out, didn’t you,” Kash said.

Dezi whistled. “I have to hand it to you, Logan. I didn’t think you had it in you.”

Both babies were clean with new onesies on and in Dezi’s arms. “Congrats, you two,” Dezi and Kash shouted in unison.

Dillan came running and shifted. His clothes dropped to a pile as he jumped around in the room full of balloons. Rhy came following in behind him, caring for their daughter. The moment Samantha saw the balloons, she was wiggling to get down.

“Dillan, honey, you were supposed to come to congratulate them, not get lost in the balloons,” Rhy said.

Dillan shifted back to his human form, his cat ears and tails still out. “Congrats.” He grabbed Logan’s hands. “Maybe Rhy will get me pregnant again and we can have babies together.”

Logan patted Dillan on the head. “Maybe next time, Dillan.”

“We have our hands full with Samantha,” Rhy pointed out.

“Yeah, but she should have siblings, lots of them,” Dillan said.

Rhy smiled at his mate with loving eyes as Dillan shifted back into a cat and went about playing with his daughter in the sea of balloons.

“Is it a party in Indigo and Logan’s room?” Cole asked.

He and Clyde popped their heads in. “Oh, shit, not just any party,” Cole said.

Clyde smacked him in the back of the head. “Congrats, you two.”

Cole shouldered Clyde out of the doorway. “Yeah, congrats.”

Everyone was piling into the room, so it was no surprise when Ava came back with Gabriella pulling her along. She smiled at them both and congratulated them. Kenny came in carrying a pregnant Morgan, who was barely awake. His eyes opened lazily and he gave them all a loopy smile. Kenny scanned the room, and there was a tic in his jaw. Indigo could guess it was the mess of the place.

“Congratulations,” he said in his deep voice.

“Thanks, but I know this mess is driving you insane. Go along and put your mate to bed,” Logan said.

Kenny gave them a curt nod and left the room.

“We’ll leave you three to celebrate. Oh, Indigo, if you’re hungry, there are leftovers in the fridge. I would have left a plate out, but Dezi said you were staying at the office late and would get something to eat,” Kash said, already ushering his mate out of the room.

“Thank you, Kash,” Indigo said.

“You know, next time we’re pregnant, I think I’m going to throw a party,” Dezi said.

“Oh, please don’t,” Kash muttered.

Indigo stifled his laughter at his alphas. Rhy walked farther into the room and scooped up his baby with one hand and with the other scooped up his mate.

“Thrilled for you, Logan,” Rhy said.

Logan blushed. “Thanks, big guy.”

Ava was the last to leave, closing the door behind her, leaving just Gabriella, Logan, and Indigo in their room.

“There are a lot of balloons and streamers here,” Indigo said, looking around the room.

“And glitter,” Gabriella so helpfully pointed out.

Indigo fixed his mate with a look. Logan didn’t look the least bit sorry. “You have to live with glitter, and I have to live without coffee. We both lose.”

Indigo picked Logan up to his surprise and turned them in the circle. “It’s a win if you ask me.”

He sat Logan on the bed and picked Gabriella up next, spinning her around. He sat her on the bed, and he joined them, pulling his family close to him. This was everything and more.

“Um, Logan are you busy?” Morgan’s soft voice asked from the doorway.

Logan looked up from where he was currently watching the coffeepot fill with the liquid he wasn’t allowed to have. It just wasn’t fucking fair.

“Not really. What’s the matter?” Logan asked, turning away from the tempting liquid.

Morgan was holding his stomach and slightly bent over, his usually pale skin flushed as his face screwed up. He stayed that way for a few seconds before standing back up.

“I think the baby is coming,” Morgan said.

It took Logan’s brain way too long to put everything together. Morgan had been obviously going through a contraction.

“Oh shit, yes, okay, let’s get you in the clinic. Have you been timing your contractions?” Logan asked.

He wasn’t wearing a watch on him, so he wasn’t able to count the time in between either. Uh, his brain was all over the place ever since he’d had to give
