His Apprehensive Mate - Brea Alepou Page 0,76

taking this seriously?”

Dillan smiled at him. “Half and half.”

“Morgi,” Gabriella screamed.

Samantha responded with a cry, and Gabriella quickly covered her mouth.

“Sorry,” she whispered.

Dillan was up rocking Samantha. “It’s okay,” he said soothingly.

Morgan put the laptop to the side and slid to the floor.

“Hey, Gabriella.” He held his arms open, and she raced to him for a hug.

“Do you want to play fairy princess with me? Ava is doing work with Kenken.”

Morgan stifled his laugh at Gabriella’s nickname for Kenny. She gave everyone in the house a nickname, and she was too cute for anyone to ask her to change them. Morgan glanced over to the laptop. He was no closer to finding out what he wanted to do.

“Sure, but can I have the blue wings this time?”

Gabriella hugged him again. “Okay.” She ran off in a fit of giggles, her sole aim getting the wings and tiaras so they could play.

“What about a lion tamer?” Dillan’s head tilted to the side in thought. “Or would it be a snow leopard tamer?”

Morgan’s cheeks went hot, and he looked away from Dillan.

“Eh, shifters and full-fledged animals don’t tend to get along, so I think that’s out. Plus, being at the zoo makes me feel sad. All those animals in cages.”

“What does Kenny think?”

Morgan rolled his tense shoulders. “Basically supports me in whatever I decide to do. I just don’t know what that is yet.”

“You have time, then,” Dillan said.

“Hmm, you’re right, but I’ll come up with something sooner or later,” Morgan said.

Gabriella came skipping back into the living room, wings in her tiny hands. She had four pairs; Morgan could only imagine who else she got to join them. Dezi was a few steps behind her, carrying one of the twins.

“Ramsey and I will be joining the fairy tea party,” Dezi said.

Gabriella gave the biggest smile as she passed Dillan and Dezi their wings before handing Morgan his blue ones. They dutifully slipped them on. Gabriella went around giving each of them proper fairy names.

“Sir Blue Sparkle, would you like to hold Baby Sprinkle,” Dezi asked.

Morgan laughed and took Ramsey from Dezi as it was his turn to perform the fairy tea ceremony. Gabriella giggled through the whole ordeal, cheering Dezi on as she pretended to fly around the living room. Baby Sprinkle aka Ramsey created a smell that brought tears to Morgan’s eyes.

“Um, Sir Green Glitter, Baby Sprinkle went number two,” Morgan said.

Gabriella held her nose. “Sprinkles aren’t supposed to be stinky.”

That put a hold on their fairy teatime. Morgan went into the kitchen in search of fairy-replenishing juice.

“You are the sexiest fairy I’ve ever seen,” Kenny whispered into his ear.

Morgan laughed and turned around from the fridge to kiss his mate.

“I’ll just go play video games or something,” Ava said, excusing herself.

“I’m not just any fairy. I am Blue Sparkle, the one and only,” Morgan joked.

Kenny pulled him close and brought their lips together in a kiss that had Morgan melting against him.

“Gabriella has a special talent for her nicknames.”

Morgan hummed in agreement before pulling Kenny in for another kiss.

Morgan puked again; he and the toilet were fast becoming best friends. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand as he swished the mouthwash around his mouth before spitting that too in the toilet. He closed his eyes; he was too hot, and there was a gross smell coming from somewhere, and it wasn’t his puke. Morgan got up from the floor and flushed the toilet. He yanked his shirt off, unable to bear it anymore. Did they have the heat on?

“Ugh, what the hell is that smell?” Morgan looked around the pristine bathroom, not a thing out of place. It practically sparkled with how clean it was. But there was something, and it was seriously messing with Morgan’s stomach.

He couldn’t take it. He started with everything under the cabinets and put everything to his nose, and although some of the smells bothered him a little, it wasn’t the source of Morgan’s misery. He tore the bathroom apart looking for it. The last place was the shower. He smelled the body wash, and that wasn’t it, but when he made it to his shampoo, he dropped the bottle and ran to the toilet, throwing up once again. At the rate he was going, soon he wouldn’t have anything left to toss up.

Morgan peeled himself from in front of the toilet and brushed his teeth. He made sure to flush the toilet before he grabbed his shirt. He wrapped
