Game Over (Gamer Girls #7) - Kitty Cox Page 0,129

better. I'm serious."

"I have just the guy." And the employee gestured for them to follow, talking as they walked further into the building. "Ok, I have most of the forms filled out online. We'll need some signatures before, and then a few more after. Are you going to need a bouquet?"

"Yes," Logan said.

The guy nodded. "Can do. Real flowers or silk?"

"Silk," Riley decided.

He chuckled. "Ok. They do keep better, after all. And will there be an exchange of rings? Or only for the bride?"

"Oh!" Knock said. "Shit, I missed that part."

"We have silicone bands for sale if that works?" the man offered.

Riley grinned. "You have rainbow?"

"I do," the guy assured her. "I just need a size, and I can get that for you while you do your paperwork." Then he turned to Knock and Cade. "I'm assuming you two are the witnesses? Are you both over eighteen?"

"We are," Cade assured him. "Well, we're eighteen, at least."

"Works for me," the guy said, pointing to a desk. "Blue for husbands, pink for wives. Take whichever applies to you. If each of you could fill out the form, check the options you want, and I'll get you a bouquet and a ring. Did we need one for the Mrs.?"

"Nope, we're good there," Logan assured him, holding out his hand to Riley. "But I'm going to need that off your hand for a second."

Riley pulled off her ring, handed it to him, and then picked up one of the pink clipboards. Logan put her ring in his pocket, grabbed one of the blue ones, and then they sat down in the many chairs lining the walls. Together, they went through the options. Things like whether or not to use a religious reference, and if so, to which god were listed there. Then there were options for the vows. This was literally an assembly-line type of ceremony.

Just as they finished, the employee returned. "Ok, I have three rainbow options. First, we have the pride style." He showed Riley and Logan a rainbow-striped silicone ring. "Then we have the psychedelic." That one was all the colors swirled together. "And finally the neon extravaganza."

"That one," Riley decided.

Because it was perfect. Patterns of neon colors were outlined in black, alternating between swirls and geometric shapes. Logan nodded his approval, so the man handed it to Riley. She slipped it on her thumb, since her dress didn't have any pockets. And then, it was time.

Knock and Cade were led to a room to take a seat. Logan was taken back a second later, leaving Riley sitting alone in that waiting room, but not for long. Soon enough, an older black man walked in - and Riley laughed. He was wearing the white Elvis-style jumpsuit. He was also a bit overweight and very much balding.

"Uh huh," the man drawled in his best Elvis impersonation, offering her a hand. "You ready to get all shook up with this wedding?"

Oh, he was bad. He was atrociously bad, and she loved it! "I certainly am," Riley agreed as she stood and let Elvis loop her arm through his.

Then he led her toward the room. As soon as they stepped inside, a young woman passed her a bouquet of silk flowers and then pressed a button. Naturally, the song that played wasn't the traditional wedding march. It was "Love Me Tender," a famous song by the real Elvis. The impersonator looked down at her and patted her hand.

"You ready for this?" he asked, dropping his act. "Your last chance to change your mind."

"I'm so ready," Riley told him.

"Known this guy a while?"

She nodded. "Yeah. We've been engaged since September but couldn't decide on a date or a ceremony because nothing else fit us. This? It's wonderfully imperfect and..." She dropped her head to laugh. "It's his way of showing me that perfection doesn't mean being perfect. I promise this is not a case of too much alcohol in Vegas."

"Good," he said before clearing his throat and resuming his act in a much louder voice. "Thank ya, thank ya very much to all y'all who came to see this amazing wedding." His voice was pitched to carry ahead of him, and he led Riley through a curtain and into a small room. "We gather here t'day to marry this woman, and that man - you hound dog, you - in matrimony."

On the other side of the curtain were two rows of benches. Maybe they were supposed to be pews? And there was a small dais
