Don't Touch My Men - Helen Scott Page 0,36

felt her orgasm.

Her inner muscles clenched and unclenched around me, and the feeling was more than I could take. I came, filling her with my seed and thrusting harder and harder, until I was drained of every last drop.

When I was finished, I fell to my knees, breathing hard. I kissed her, again and again.

“I love you,” I said against her lips.

“I love you too,” she said, kissing me right back.

We stayed like that for far too long before the water started to cool, and I sighed, knowing this fantasy world we were escaping in for a moment wasn’t real.

“Real life is waiting for us,” I said.

She nodded and pressed her forehead to mine, running her fingers through my hair. “I need to take a real shower.”

I didn’t want to let her go, but I did. We both stood, I cleaned myself again, and then I left the shower. Looking back at her one last time, I closed the curtain, then wrapped a towel around myself and headed out into my bedroom.

Ellis was waiting on the bed.

I felt the color drain from my face as I stood there, dripping water on the floor, not knowing what to say. He was clearly just finishing his own shower. His hair was wet, and he wore jeans and a dark blue shirt.

“It’s okay,” he finally said.

“No, it’s not,” I told him honestly.

“It will be.”

I hoped so, because Ellis might think we were okay, but we weren’t. I’d hurt him. I just hoped one day, he could forgive me.

“Mae’s back,” I told him.

He lifted a brow. “I kind of think the whole neighborhood knows.”

I felt antsy. Going to my dresser, I pulled out new clothes, dropped my towel, and started to dress. Ellis remained sitting on the bed, saying nothing, until I was feeling more comfortable in dark jeans and a black shirt.

Then I turned back to him. “Apparently, Grim traded himself for her.”

“Fuck,” Ellis said, rubbing his hand over his face. “But why did the Horseman allow that?”

“He bound her powers. And she promised to bring him his head.”

“Hell.”

“Yup.”

“We need to talk to Alastair,” he said.

“I’m not sure he can help until he’s had time to heal.”

He stared down at his hands. “My horn should’ve done its job by now.”

“Maybe we do some research, and when he wakes up, we figure it out?”

Ellis nodded. “You do know that we can’t actually give the Horseman his head, right? He’d be unstoppable.”

“We also can’t let him kill Grim.”

Tentatively, I sat down on the bed next to him, and we both stared at the shower door, listening to Mae finish up. Neither of us said more. We didn’t need to. Anything we might say would only make things worse.

We’d been in a lot of shit positions in our life, but this was the first one that I wasn’t sure we would survive.

Alastair

The first thing I was aware of was the need to vomit. My mouth watered uncontrollably a moment before my stomach heaved and my body expelled whatever was bothering it. I was barely able to open my eyes, but the small glimpse of the world I saw was enough to worry me. Whatever I’d just thrown up was totally black. It looked more like someone had spilled tar on the ground than vomit.

I groaned and rolled to lay on my back, so I wasn’t hanging over the edge of the bed just staring at my puke. My chest ached, but was nowhere near as painful as before. I wasn’t sure what had happened, but the last thing I remembered was trying to cut the cursed flesh from my chest.

The sound of people fucking filtered in to my senses, and at first, I wasn’t surprised. Then I realized that had to mean Mae was back somehow. There was no way any of the guys would be fucking someone else, so unless it was two strangers in the house making the beast with two backs, then that left only one possible conclusion.

The question was how?

I tried to push up into a sitting position, but it only made me feel light-headed and weak, so I lay back down. Apparently, I blinked for a very long time, because when I opened my eyes next, the light in the room had changed. I felt a little more like a person again as well, not just a husk of cursed magic.

This time when I pushed into a sitting position, I was actually able to stay that way for a while before
