Sin started laughing as the flames moved closer and closer to us and I knew that I really should have been afraid, but somehow I was so caught up in the beauty and raw power of his magic that the adrenaline pumping through my veins just lit me up as brightly as the flames themselves.
The sound of the roaring fire was deafening and I bit my lip as I looked all around at the destruction Sin wreaked so easily. This was more than just a fire Elemental flexing his magical muscles, these flames were an embodiment of the wild and temperamental creature beneath me. They could be just as deadly as they were alluring.
When the fire finally burned out, there was nothing at all left of the little woodland I'd grown with my power, the last ashes swept away on a breeze of his design. I dropped down from his back and caught his hand in mine.
Sin turned to look at me with a dark and dangerous glint in his eyes that made my smile widen.
"Twelve! Eighty-Eight!" Cain barked from beyond the fence that surrounded the Magic Compound. "Get your asses back to your cell blocks or I'll be placing you both back in the hole."

"Sure thing, captain," Sin called, grabbing me and tossing me over his shoulder before I could do anything to stop him.
I laughed as he jogged back to the exit where the last of the inmates were heading through the doors and Officer Lucius used her remote to re-activate our cuffs, locking our magic away before we made it to the doors.
Sin carried me right past Cain who barked an order at him to put me down and I wriggled in his grip to make him comply. I wouldn't put it past Cain to throw us in the hole again if he could come up with a good enough excuse and I didn't intend to give him one.
"You wanna come back to my cell and let me peel that polyester off of you, wild girl?" Sin asked in a low tone which really wasn't all that low and earned us a glare from Officer Dickwad.
"That is seriously tempting," I agreed even though we both knew I wasn’t allowed in his cell block. "But I think I want a date first. And unfortunately, I don't have time for one with you right now."
Sin frowned at me like I'd just spoken a foreign language. "A date?" he asked.
"Yeah, you know, two people, hanging out and seeing if they actually like each other before they fuck. I've heard it can even be fun sometimes," I teased.
"You...want to date me?" Sin's frown deepened and I rolled my eyes at him.
"Why not?"
"Alright, next time we’re in the Order Yard, I'll use my gifts to become your perfect-"
"No," I interrupted him because I was starting to get really damn curious about who the real Sin Wilder was and it was all too easy for him to don a mask when he had access to his gifts. "Not in the Order Yard. Let's just see if we can make some fun for ourselves without our Orders taking over. Okay?"
"I'm not sure where to begin dating someone, kitten," he teased, but there was a look in his eyes that I almost wanted to call vulnerability if that hadn’t been utterly insane.
"Well, let's start with a dinner date and take it from there."
Sin opened his mouth to reply, but suddenly Cain was shoving his way between us. "I'm not here to supervise the two of you making plans for romantic liaisons," he growled. "Come on Eighty-Eight, I'll make sure you get back to your cell quickly." He shoved Sin towards the stairwell so hard that the Incubus almost fell down the steps.
"Jealous, Officer?" he taunted as he turned and ran from Cain's angry face. The Vampire shot after him with a growl of rage and I smirked to myself as Sin's howls of laughter carried back to me as he kept running.
"Keep moving, Twelve," Hastings said as he came up beside me and I turned to him with a wide smile as I fell into step at his side.
"Have you come to take me back to my bed, Officer?" I asked in a teasing tone and the corner of his lips twitched with amusement before he schooled his expression.
