anxious to see her. Let’s go dry off and I’ll send you the details.” He kisses me again and then lifts himself from the pool, and I literally groan at the sight of his arms as he does. He shakes his head and laughs at me again, before grabbing a towel and drying himself off. I just sit in the pool and perv over him as he dries his hair with the towel.

“You coming?” he asks and I nod, reminding myself that I’ve been wrapped up in him for days, it’s time to see my friend. I tell it to my libido too, because she is on fire right now. I swim to the steps and climb from the pool, and he growls as I bend to grab my own towel.

“Down boy,” I laugh, glad that I affect him just as much as he does me.

“Later, you’re mine,” he says as he stalks over to me.

“When Fallon leaves, I’ll come find you,” I whisper to him, tracing the muscles on his chest with my fingers.

“Deal.” He grabs his cell from the table next to us and taps away before mine pings. “You have the address, I’m going to go work out some more. Or get a really cold shower,” he says, adjusting himself.

“So much for that iron clad control of yours,” I joke, and he barks out a laugh.

“When it comes to you, Remy. I’ve never had much control.” He walks out of the room, leaving me still laughing at him. I pick up my phone and text Fallon to tell her we’re a go, with the address, and head for a cold shower of my own.

“Holy freaking fates, Remy. You’re living here?” Fallon practically squeals as she climbs out of Marie’s car and takes in the front of the manor.

“Oh, this is nothing. Wait till you go inside,” I laugh, and then she does squeal before she runs over to me and wraps me into a bear hug.

“Girl, I missed you so much. I was freaking terrified. And crypto over there wouldn’t tell me a damn thing. I swear, I wish my foresight would strengthen already.” Marie climbs out of the car at her words and comes over to hug me too.

“I’m glad you are well, Remy. I had a feeling our winged friend would find you.” She says warmly, her accent thick, making her words sound smooth as honey.

“Marie, is that you?” Everly’s voice calls out from the front porch, and she waves before heading over. “I haven’t seen you in years!”

“Not since the funeral,” Marie says before hugging the woman. Fallon looks between the two of them, mouth open.

“What the…”

“I’ll explain in a bit.” I tell her with a small laugh. “It’s a small world.”

“I need to be heading off, but you tell Leviathan that I’m still waiting to hear from him.”

“God, Mom. Could you be any more cryptic?” Fallon rolls her eyes before hugging her mom goodbye and practically shooing her away.

“Are you girls hungry?” Everly asks, and I nod eagerly as she laughs. “Okay, I’ll whip something up for you. I’ll come find you when its nearly ready.”

She disappears back inside and Fallon is still staring at the house. “Her food will be enough to make you never want to leave. I’m so glad Hunters have a ridiculously high metabolism, because the amount I’ve eaten since I’ve been here, you’d have to roll me out.” I laugh, and she joins me.

“I think, somehow, there is more than the food keeping you here.” I follow her eye line to the room, where Levi is stood on the edge of the roof, wings stretched out, looking down upon us, as if making sure no-one was stupid enough to follow Marie and Fallon here.

“Yeah, I guess you could say that.” I smile coyly as we head inside. She follows closely behind me taking it all in. I lead her through the house to the sitting room at the back and she whistles as we enter.

“Damn girl, this place is out of this world.”

“What’s out of this world, is he says I helped him build this place,” I tell her, and she whirls to face me.

“I’m sorry, say what?”

“Yup. And this is nothing, I mean, it’s beautiful, but there’s an entire wing on that side of the house,” I point towards Levi’s wing, “that I haven’t even explored yet. But back here where I’m staying, there’s this huge leisure suite with a pool, sauna, gym, jacuzzi, you name it,
