Wrapped in Chains - Nicola Jane Page 0,66
vote or you can walk outta here and lose your right to vote. But we’re voting on this—it’s club business.” Riggs sits down heavily in his chair. “Riggs wants to take his patch, but I don’t think he should make that decision without consulting us all. He’s too close to the reason. We all know that Chains wants to claim Leia. He’s doing the right thing now and standing by her, and by the looks of things, she wants that too. I think he deserves to have the chance to put shit right around here. He’s a good enforcer and that's never been in doubt,” says Blade.
“Fuck, get on with it,” groans Riggs.
“All those who want Chains to lose his Kings Reapers patch, say I.”
“I,” snaps Riggs.
The rest of the guys stay quiet and hope builds in my chest. “Anyone else?” asks Cree. The room remains silent. Cree shrugs and Riggs scowls, picking up the gavel and tossing it towards Blade.
“Well, you wanna close the damn meeting seeing as you called it?” he snaps.
“We’re done here,” mutters Cree to the rest of the men. “Get outta here.” They begin to file out of the room. “Not you, Chains.” As the men pass, they shake my hand and pat me on the shoulder. It means the world that they voted for me to stay.
Once the room is clear, I sit at the opposite end of the table facing Riggs. “We gotta sort this,” says Cree.
“Riggs,” I begin.
“Don’t sit there and tell me how you’re sorry. I might actually rip your throat open,” snaps Riggs.
“In all the years I’ve known you, I’ve never let you down. I’ve never given you a reason not to trust me until now. Leia was never gonna stay single forever. You know I’ll lay my life on the line to protect her. I love her. So, no, I won’t sit here and apologise for something I couldn’t stop. When you met Anna and Cree was telling you to forget about her, I was behind you all the way. Cos I knew that look you had in your eye, that determination you had to make her yours, and that's exactly how I feel about Leia. I’m sorry that you think I’m not good enough for her, but you’re wrong.” I stand to leave.
“I don’t think that,” mutters Riggs and I stop. “Don’t fuckin’ hurt her, Chains. I swear, if she cries one more tear over your ass, I’ll slaughter you no matter what the fuckin’ club votes.” I nod once and leave the room feeling secretly victorious.
I take the stairs two at a time. Leia is lying on her bed with her back to me. I carefully lower onto the bed behind her, pressing my nose into her hair and inhaling the scent of her strawberry shampoo. I’ve missed her smell. I lift her shirt over her head. “They voted me to stay.” I smile, and as I nudge her legs apart, I place light kisses along her collarbone and down to her breast.
“I never doubted them for a second,” she whispers, wrapping her arms around my neck.
“I missed you,” I mumble. “Did Ryan . . . ” I pause, not wanting to say the words.
“No,” she whispers. “He didn’t hurt me at all.”
I pull her panties hard and they snap. I throw them to the floor and unfasten my own pants. Freeing myself, I sink into her, unable to wait any longer. She arches her back from the mattress and grips my shoulders. “I’m sorry I hurt you before,” I mutter into the crook of her neck. “I fucked up so many times, but I’m gonna make up for it.”
I move in and out of her, and she’s gripping me so tight it takes all my strength not to embarrass myself and come straight away. “Stop being gentle. I’m not gonna break,” she whispers.
“I don’t wanna hurt the baby,” I say and she smirks.
“I’ll concentrate on protecting the baby, you concentrate on fuckin’ me.”
Her dirty mouth almost sends me over the edge. I grip her waist and flip her over, slapping her hard on the ass and pulling her onto all fours. I slam hard into her and she muffles a scream into her pillow. “I was being a good boyfriend,” I pant. “Taking it easy.”
“You were being a pussy and trying to make love,” she quips. “That’s not you.”
I smirk. She’s right. It isn’t in me to be gentle, and as I slam into her over
