Winter's Bride - Candace Wondrak Page 0,52

was barely there as she whispered, “I am no god.”

“To me, you are.” As I spoke, I released her hand, letting it fall off my chest. I also pulled my arm back from her side, moving both my hands to her neck, fingers both gripping the sides of her face and weaving into the base of her hairline. “You are my goddess.”

She said nothing, but an uneven breath left her as her eyelids fell. She gave me a tiny, almost imperceptible nod, and I knew that was all I would get from her, but that was fine; it was all I needed.

I brought my mouth down to hers, taking those lips. Feeling her mouth on mine, it wasn’t like our first kiss, slow and tender, tentative and unsure. This was the opposite: fire and eagerness. Her lips melded against mine, and I tasted her for the first time in what felt like centuries. Each day I was away from her was too much. I could not bear much more of this.

As my mouth ravaged hers, as I devoured whatever moans slipped from her throat and into mine, I reached for her dress. There were buttons on the side, and I undid them one by one. A part of me was expecting her to pull back and tell me to stop, but she didn’t. Thank all that was good in this world, she didn’t. I think I would’ve died if she would’ve done that.

With the buttons undone, her dress became looser on her frame, the small straps of fabric clinging to her shoulders falling down her arms somewhat. I pulled my lips off hers, both of us struggling to breathe, and I locked eyes with her, my palms grazing her shoulders, fingers touching those tiny straps. With a little help, her dress would tumble down, and then she’d be in nothing but her underthings.

And then, soon after that, nothing. She would wear absolutely nothing in front of me, and I felt my whole body harden at the thought, my lower half especially.

We were seconds from passing the point of no return, and it appeared as if neither of us was going to stop. We were both full-speed ahead, neither one of us wanting to put a pause on this. This, us, our union which felt so inevitable—for surely it was. Preordained by whatever higher power there was.

I was not sure what higher power there was above my brother and I, but there had to be something. We did not come into existence of our own accord.

My breath caught in my throat, and I tugged the fabric off her shoulders, helping her out of her dress, watching as it pooled around her feet in a beautiful silver display. Morana stood before me, as gorgeous as ever, her chest held back by a white, padded slip, along with the space near her apex. She was perfect, her hair a little undone, her eyes alight with fire as she gazed upon me.

Her beauty almost made me hesitant to further undress her, but then I felt the ache in my balls and knew I had to push forward, knew I had to see her naked form and meet it with mine.

I took care of her, first. I stepped toward her, reaching for the fabric holding back her chest and undoing it, letting those two round breasts spill free. My hands went for them immediately, cupping them, pinching the nipples on them to make them hard, eliciting a soft moan from her luscious lips.

Slowly, I bent down. I kissed her lips once, then her neck, and as I continued to sink to my knees, I kissed her breasts, taking one of those nipples into my mouth and running my tongue over it. Lower I went still, until I knelt before her, until my head was level with the only bit of fabric still on her body.

My fingers hooked on the sides of her hips along her undergarment, and then I pulled it down along her legs, exposing her more intimate part to me. I heard her breathe out a shaky breath, and I glanced up at her, finding that she stared down at me. Me, Summer, on his knees in front of her. I would never get on my knees for anyone else.

Inching my face toward her, I kissed her somewhere much more private than her mouth. I had to force open her legs a bit to get a better angle, keeping hold of her thighs
