For The Win (Gamer Girls, #6) - Auryn Hadley Page 0,93

"Aren't I supposed to like, wash your hair or something to be sweet?"

Rhaven snatched it out of his hand. "No. That sounds more weird than sweet." But she did take the flow of water for long enough to soak her hair.

He murmured his appreciation. "There's something very nice about a wet, naked woman."

Stepping out, she wiped the water from her face with one hand, then traded positions. "And now my mascara is a mess, and in case you missed it..." She pointed down.

Braden turned to face her, letting the water run over him. "Rhaven, I know you will never believe me, but I'm not bothered by what's between your legs. First, I like dicks. Mine, other people's, doesn't matter. Second, I swear to god that nothing about you looks like a man to me. I will say that over and over again until you actually believe it, baby. Now, I'm sure you don't put your face between a lot of women's legs, but I promise you that a little swelling happens on both sides." His eyes dropped. "All I'm looking for are my limits."

"I don't know them," she pointed out while she worked shampoo into her hair. "Braden, I never thought I'd find someone who'd accept me. Especially not a guy like you."

"Bi?" he asked.

"Hot," she corrected. "Gorgeous! I mean, girls fawn over you all the time. You and Chance are the hotties at Deviant, right? And you're single."

He grinned. "Was."

"Yeah, but shouldn't you be with, I dunno, someone more in your class?"

"Uh, I kinda think I am," he said. "Look, Rhaven, I know what I like. None of that has to do with how someone looks - or whether they have a dick or pussy. I like your tits. Small, perky, and yet still there. I like your lips. They need to be kissed a lot, but I'm trying really hard to go slow."

"I don't mind the kisses," she said softly.

He stepped toward her, but he didn't lean in. Instead, his hands moved to her hair, helping to work the lather in. "I love your hair. This shaved thing? It's like something from one of our games. Your ass is amazing, your legs are killer. And maybe it's not what you want to hear, but I like that you have this little dick that is so very different than mine."

"That's the hormones," she explained.

He guided her toward the water. "I know. You've said." Then he looked down at his own dick. "But I figured I can't really hide my opinion."

The man was hard. Not just a little, but standing tall, and that thing was thick and roped with veins. Rhaven jerked her eyes away, not sure if she wanted to look longer or never look again. Thankfully, the water and suds running across her face prevented her from worrying about it. Hard to look when she had to close her eyes, right?

"I'm trying not to be neurotic," she promised.

"You're being cute," he said. "Thing is, I'm not that good at this either, so I'm just being real blunt. I want to kiss you, Rhaven. Right now. Later. With people watching and without. When you took my hand earlier?" He pressed both of his palms to his heart. "That made me so happy."

"Really?"

He nodded, then turned to grab the soap. "See, here's the thing." He paused to start lathering his body. "Rhaven, I'm the guy people like for a bit. I'm the one who gets dumped because I'm not attentive enough - "

"But you're always with Dez!" she said.

He shrugged. "I'm not dating Dez. And so you know, I'm not going to stop making sure she feels safe. She needs me when she leaves her room, Rhaven. Her panic attacks? They're bad. If just walking around with her can prevent that?"

"No, I agree completely," she said.

"See?" Braden asked. "That's what I'm talking about. And you talk games with me. You don't play stupid tricks to try and see if I love you enough. Things like that. You're just you, and so far as I can tell, you seem to like me just the way I am. But here's the thing. You can tell me, you know. If you want me to do something, or if you have a problem with something. I..." His hands stopped and he looked down at the soap he was holding. "Rhaven, I'm not a very good boyfriend."

"I think you are," she told him.

"I love my job more than anything else," he admitted.

"I can't blame you
