Kalai shook his head slowly, then hummed. “For a moment... I thought I heard a titan roar.”

WILD SKY first sparked to life in my head in early 2016. All I knew about the story then was that I wanted it to be about dragons, and I wanted it to be massive. I imagined a brick of a book, at least 400 pages long; hefty enough to be a potential tool of self defense in the event of a break-in (Let’s hope that never happens, but it was an amusing thought). In short: I wanted a challenge. And boy, did I get one.
I’ve always been a perfectionist, striving to push my skills as far as I can. More than anything, WILD SKY was the ultimate test.
WILD SKY demanded what felt like endless hours of outlining, plotting, drafting, restructuring, revising, editing, beta reading, more editing and proofing. Along the way, it transformed from simply being a challenge to being a dear friend. I spent over two years getting to know these characters, their struggles, their insecurities, celebrated their victories and mourned their losses. And while I’m so grateful for my friends letting me vent my thoughts and frustrations late into the night, writing is a lonely art. There was so much I couldn’t share.
But now I can finally let you all into this world with me. Thank you for being here.
I am so incredibly grateful for the fans and readers who stood by me and cheered me on throughout this writing journey. Their kindness, encouragement and dedication means more to me than I can put into words. Without them, WILD SKY wouldn’t have been nearly as fun to bring to life.
To my Patreon members, whose support I’m so incredibly grateful for:
Catie Bringle, Megan Crippen, Jessica S, Calla, Eileen O, Corinna Wagner and Maria M.
And to my wonderful beta readers, many of whom are also Patreon supporters, who dedicated their time to helping me make WILD SKY the best it could be:
