Who I Am With You (Imagination #10) - Staci Stallings Page 0,167

of Your Subconscious Mind said it this way, ‘When you become emotionally mature, you do not respond negatively to the criticism and resentment of others. To do so would mean that you had descended to the state of low mental vibration and become one with the negative aspect of the other. Identify yourself with your aim in life, and do not permit any person, place, or thing to deflect you from your inner sense of peace, tranquility, and radiant health.’

“Natural healers and thinkers alike have taught for years that energy and vitality of the body are a fundamental reflection of the vibrational energy found there. The emerging science that studies the biofield is challenging our traditional view of medicine every day. Rather than taking the Newtonian view of the body, namely that a body is simply the sum of its parts, scientists are now acknowledging that there are simply ‘parts’ that are not inherently physical. There is a fundamental metaphysical component, call it the soul or the spirit, that both animates and contains processes we had for years assumed were taking place in the brain.

“Memories, for example, have been found to not have a specific location in the brain but rather are more vibrations spread throughout the cells of the body. That accounts for the curious phenomenon of transplant patients suddenly having memories they did not have prior to transplantation. Human beings, it seems, are as much vibrational beings as physical beings, and possibly more so as without that force, death brings a quick deterioration of the physical body. The life force that animates a person is now being seen as a complex system of energy fields that mesh with the physical and cellular systems to create what we call life.

“That is why, as a science, positive psychology is so important. Without concrete ways to recalibrate this vibrational biofield, doctors and scientists are left at its mercy when trying to treat illnesses. In fact, what we call illness is actually the symptoms of disruptions or dissonance in the vibrational fields in the body. The symptoms we experience are not the illness. They are like sign markers pointing back to what is the cause of the effects of the symptoms. To treat illness, we need to be able to treat the cause, not just treat the symptoms. And the cause, we are learning, goes right back to these vibrational patterns. Vibrational medicine or energy medicine utilizes specialized forms of energy to create positive effects on the energetic systems in the body. By returning the vibrational pattern to harmony, you will cure both the cause and the symptoms, and thus the disease in the body.”

Although Taylor had been fascinated with the topic, she found herself having more new avenues to study than she knew existed. When Dr. Coleman’s talk was finished, she went up to thank her for opening a door she hadn’t known was a possibility.

“Thank you so much,” Taylor said as the room began to empty out. In ten minutes it would be filled with new people. In fact, a new speaker was due to be showing up any second now. “That was amazing.”

“Oh, I’m glad someone thought so,” Dr. Coleman said. “So many people hear the words energy medicine and think witch doctors and tarot cards.”

“No. I think it’s fascinating. Actually I’ve been studying a lot on the flow model and brain wave states.”

“Really?” Dr. Coleman asked, sounding very interested as she took a long drink of her water.

“Yeah. I have a friend who writes music, and we’ve been talking about how he’s been dropping into theta pretty much his whole life even though he didn’t know that’s what he was doing.”

Dr. Coleman nodded, her bright blue eyes, taking in every word.

“Crazy thing is, he went to college to study engineering because his dad wanted him to do something that would make a lot of money. He had a really rough time and finally dumped that to go back to music. But now, he’s kind of struggling because they don’t want him to create his music. They want him to create his music their way.”

“Dissonance,” Dr. Coleman said.

Taylor nodded. “Do you think that could create that… what did you call it… a contraction?”

Gravely, Dr. Coleman nodded. “It’s very possible.”

“I just wish I had better ways of studying this. Right now, I’m just searching to find talks about it online.”

“Oh, this isn’t for a class?” Dr. Coleman asked in surprise as others began to filter into the room.

“Oh, no. Totally
