Two to Tangle (A Tangle Valley Romance #2) - Melissa Brayden Page 0,69

and free, in a while. Tonight, she did just that and reveled in the effect. With her teeth she skated across Ryan’s nipple and listened to her murmur her approval. “I need you on the bed,” she said in Ryan’s ear. Her answer was swift. Ryan took a seat on the edge, leaving plenty of room for Gabriella to straddle her lap. Gabriella slid off her last bit of clothing and did just that. Ryan nodded when Gabriella began to roll her hips. “Yes,” she breathed. Ryan adjusted herself beneath Gabriella, Ryan’s hands on her bare back, pushing up against her, seeking purchase. This ride was only a momentary detour. Gabriella had a larger goal.

She pushed Ryan gently onto the bed and followed her there. Kissing down her body, she purposefully allowed her hair to trail behind her, caressing Ryan’s skin. Ryan moaned, and she savored the sound. Gabriella settled herself between Ryan’s legs and kissed her through her underwear and felt her squirm. Set squarely on a goal, she slid the bikinis down her legs and eagerly kissed those gorgeous legs up to Ryan’s inner thighs. She then touched her delicately with her tongue, smiling to herself when Ryan jerked. “Hold on,” she murmured, going back in. She went slow, excruciatingly slow if she did say so herself. Soft circles, lazy passes, until the sounds Ryan made told her it was time. She zeroed in on the one spot she knew would send Ryan off the bed and went to town with her lips, her tongue until Ryan’s body went rigid and her hips lifted. Gabriella raised her gaze to watch the beauty in front of her writhe with pleasure she’d provided. Satisfied, she crawled up the bed and braced herself on her forearms over Ryan, who reached up and moved a strand of hair out of her face.

“You’ve been holding out on me.”

Gabriella shook her head, proud. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“You seem sweet and innocent, but…”

“Oh, I am. I’m just a few other things, too.”

“Heaven. Jesus. Lord.”

Gabriella shook her head. “Not here right now. I am, though.” She settled her body on top and eased her thigh between Ryan’s, pulling a hiss.

“I did not expect to be worked over by a chef until she made me see nothing but stars.”

Gabriella grinned slyly. “Well, who does?”

Ryan grabbed her by the waist and flipped them. It was Gabriella who gasped this time.

“Not that I’m complaining.” Ryan grinned down. “I hope you don’t have anywhere to be tonight.”

Gabriella shook her head, more than captivated by where she already was. “My night is open.”

To say that she had the most satisfying sex of her life that night would be accurate and a gross understatement. Ryan took her places she’d only read about, and she had a feeling she’d returned that favor. They were asleep in each other’s arms by two a.m., and when the sunlight woke them just after seven, Ryan smiled. She opened her mouth to speak, but Gabriella silenced her with a finger upon her lips. Ryan passed her a curious look but complied, content to lie there and run her fingers up and down Gabriella’s back as she held her. Finally, when the requisite ten minutes passed, Gabriella raised herself up.

“I don’t talk for the first ten minutes of the day.”

Ryan blinked. “Did you lose a bet with someone? That’s so sad.”

“No,” Gabriella said with a laugh. “It’s just a thing I have. It helps me get my thoughts together, and I suppose now it’s kind of a superstition.”

“A silent ten minutes, huh?”

“If I can manage it, yeah.”

Ryan pulled Gabriella more fully on top and caressed her ass with both hands.

Gabriella raised an eyebrow. “It’s only minute eleven, and you’re already objectifying me?”

“Yes,” Ryan said with a single nod and proud grin.

With her dark hair laid out behind her on the pillow, she was just as gorgeous in the morning as any other time of day. Maybe more. Gabriella kissed her and moved her hips in a slow circle that had Ryan closing her eyes. “I can get behind that.”

Chapter Thirteen

The day had been a long one, possibly because Gabriella hadn’t gotten a ton of sleep the night before, but the memories had certainly kept her smiling to herself, like she had the most wonderful of secrets. As she worked, she touched her lips on occasion, remembering the impassioned kisses. And Jolene kept her on her toes. She was beginning to recognize repeat customers, who specifically
