“What is it?” Josh asks curiously. “What are you smiling about?”

I shake my head. “Nothing. I just love your t-shirts… although they do kind of make my clothes feel boring.”

He arches a skeptical brow. “Babe, I don’t think there’s a person on the planet who’d be able to find anything boring about your appearance.”

I chuckle. “Um, I think that was a compliment?”

“Definitely,” he says with a bright smile before heading for the door of my bedroom. “Come on, let’s go order dinner. I’m fucking starving.”

I grab his hand and lead him upstairs to the kitchen where I left my phone earlier.

“I see you guys have finally come up for air,” Laura says with a teasing smirk as Josh and I enter the kitchen.

“It’s just a temporary food break,” I explain. “Then we’ll be getting back to the sex.”

“That—we won’t—I’m not—” Josh breaks off, his face bright red and completely adorable as he tries to stammer out an explaination for what I just said.

“Thank god this apartment is on three different levels is all I’m saying,” Laura says with a shrug before disappearing upstairs to where both her room and Chase’s are located.

I retrieve my phone so I can put in our dinner order, but before I get a chance I see our family WhatsApp chat has been going a bit haywire.

“Shit, something big must be happening—there’s like twenty-five new messages in the family chat.”

I hold the phone out so Josh can read as well as I scroll through them all.
