Truth or Dare - Danielle Allen Page 0,14

step closer. “You could be right. It could’ve been just the game, the alcohol, the yacht that got our biology going. But what about the chemistry?”

I swallowed hard. “Science.”

He nodded slowly. “Okay,” he said, his eyes pinging all over my face. “Answer a question for me.”

“Okay,” I breathed.

“Truth or dare?”

I got butterflies. “What?”

“Truth. Or. Dare.”

The way he looked at me was unnerving.

“Dare,” I murmured.

Without warning, Kingston grabbed my face and crashed his lips into mine. He kissed me hard yet soft at the same time. It happened so fast that at first, my mind didn’t fully understand what was going on. But my body, on the other hand, was fully aware and reacted on instinct.

Gripping the sides of his t-shirt, I pulled his body flush with mine. That small move deepened the kiss as his mouth overtook mine with a gentle force that consumed me. Endorphins flooded my system, and the knot in my belly unraveled. His hard dick pressed against me, letting me know that the desire wasn’t one-sided and that forced a moan out of me. I wrapped my arms around him and allowed myself the pleasure of indulging in him, in his touch, in the kiss.

A loud, thumping knock against my door shattered the moment.

He broke the kiss abruptly, backing away from me. Breathlessly, we just stared at one another, our chests heaving. Unable to resist, my eyes were pulled to the dick print that graced his grey basketball shorts.

Damn.

I’d only meant to glance, but I was staring.

Kingston Wright has been walking around with all that dick this whole time?

The second round of insistent knocks grabbed my attention and forced my eyes to his.

He moved toward the sound before I did and my mind flashed back to Chloe’s matchmaking plans, my constant denials of anything going on. I was only a step behind him, so I switched positions and pointed to the wall behind the door. With him hidden, I looked out the peephole and then answered it.

“Where the hell have you been?” Tisha snapped, rubbing her eyes sleepily. “I’ve been worried sick!”

“I’m sorry. I was preoccupied and forgot to text you back.”

My best friend eyed me, crossing her arms over her chest. “Why is your face all…”—she gestured to me wildly and then froze— “you’ve been masturbating haven’t you?”

“What?” I balked.

“I know that look. Your hands were preoccupied so you couldn’t text back. I get it now.”

Shaking my head, I started laughing. “Okay, Tisha.”

“You were in there taking the ol’ vibrator to town. Thinking about how you were grinding on Kingston 2.0.”

I was cracking up. “Stop. Please stop.”

She lifted her hands and took a step back. “I get it. I’ll let you get back to your fantasies. But we need to talk in the morning.”

“Goodnight, Tisha. Love you!”

“Love you. Night.”

I closed the door and looked at Kingston. We both burst out laughing. Covering my mouth with my hand, I fell into his chest. We were trying to smother our cackling but holding it in only made the situation funnier.

When the laughter died down, he was staring down at me and I was still pressed against his chest. I was suddenly very aware of his body and how it felt against mine.

I cleared my throat. “You should go before you get caught in here,” I whispered to him.

He searched my eyes. “Okay, yeah.” He nodded. “Yeah, we should get some sleep,” he agreed.

I backed away from him. “I’m glad you stopped by.”

“So am I.” His eyes dipped to my lips and then lower to my breasts before meeting my gaze again. “Yeah, I need to go to bed.”

“Can we talk more in the morning?”

He licked his lips. “Anything you want.”

I didn’t say anything, but I squeezed my thighs together to alleviate the pressure.

He opened the door to leave and just after he crossed the threshold into the hallway, he turned to look at me. “Goodnight, Simone.”

I licked my lips. “Goodnight, Kingston.”

The breeze was lovely as we sat on the outside terrace of the resort’s restaurant. Our brunch was a buffet style mixture of local and international dishes. I’d filled up on fruit, yogurt, and pastries and was just sitting back listening to my friends reminisce about the last time we were all together. I stared out onto the ocean, lost in my own thoughts.

“You two looked cozy over at the buffet,” Latisha whispered under her breath.

“Who?” I feigned confusion even though I knew she was talking about Kingston.

She narrowed her eyes. “The man you were showing your
