Triplets for The Millionaire - K.C. Crowne Page 0,58

my expensive Italian loafers.

“It’s not that,” she said. “It’s…I don’t know. I need to shower and change – I’m all sweaty now.”

I couldn’t decide if she was telling the truth about how she felt. Either way, pressing the matter wasn’t a good idea.

“How about this,” I countered. “We take our separate cars. I’ll grab some food and head over to your place, and we can eat there.”

She nodded. “Yeah – that sounds alright.”

“There’s this amazing Mexican joint near your area. Tacos sound good?”

This got a small smile. “Tacos always sound good.”

“Then let’s do it.”

We dressed, and I couldn’t help but steal one more kiss before we left the exam room.

“Let me look to make sure the coast is clear,” she said as we stood near the door. “Wouldn’t look good for me to be coming out of the exam room with some guy after hours.”

I nodded and she unlocked and opened the door, sticking her head out in a way that would’ve drawn anyone’s suspicion. I grinned to myself, holding back a chuckle at how conspicuous she was being.

“OK, we’re good. Come on.”

She took my hand and led me out of the room and down the hall. Once back in the lobby we stopped near the entrance, turning to face one another.

“Alright,” she said. “I’ll see you at my place, right?”

“You better believe it.”

I leaned in for another kiss, but she turned her head. Lola seemed to be letting her guard down a bit, but she was still the same person she’d always been – guarded and serious. And I knew better than to push her too hard.

She unlocked the heavy lock on the front door, and I opened it for her as she stepped out. With a slightly unsure smile, Lola turned and made her way to the parking lot next to the clinic after locking up. I kept her in sight the whole time – not just because I couldn’t take my eyes off her, but because I wanted to make sure she got in her car safe and sound.

Once she pulled out and away, I hurried to my car and climbed in. Lola was on my mind the entire drive to the Mexican joint, and I was half-hard the whole way as I replayed the hot as fuck sex in my mind over and over.

I wanted more. Being with Lola again, feeling her wrapped around my stiff cock – it was all I could think about. So when I arrived at her place, bags full of tacos and tortilla chips in my hands, I couldn’t pounce on her fast enough.

“I hope you got a good variety,” she said as I entered and set the bags down on the kitchen counter. “Because I forgot to tell you what I wanted.”

“Alright,” I said as I stepped over to her. “How about you tell me now? But first…let me tell you what I want.”

I put my hands on her hips and squeezed hard. Her eyes flashed with surprise – she clearly hadn’t been expecting this. I leaned in and kissed her neck, her skin breaking out in goosebumps as I moved my lips over her soft skin.

Lola bit her lower lip out of indecisiveness, but the effect was hot as hell. I traveled along her collarbone with my kisses, but when I returned to meet her gaze, I could sense she wasn’t sure.

“Something wrong?” I asked. “We could get back to this after the tacos…”

She offered me a small smile. “No, not that.”

“Then what?”

“Just…it’s hard to believe how I feel when I’m with you like this.”

“Tell me.”

“Every time I’m with you, I feel like I’m on the verge of making a bad decision.”

“But one you’re happy to make.”

She nodded, and I answered it with another kiss, one she fell right into. We kissed longer and deeper, one of my hands on her hip, the other on her perfect ass, squeezing her through the scrubs.

“Is it weird that I think these things are sexy as fuck?”

Her eyebrows arched and she glanced down, tugging at the scrubs. “These?”

I moved my hand to her stomach, the fabric of the scrubs soft against my skin. “These.”

She chuckled. “Well, considering these are designed to be the most practical, least flattering clothes in the world…maybe a little. But I’m flattered nonetheless.”

“But,” I said, raising a finger, “as sexy as you are in them…”

Another laugh. “You really know how to lay it on thick, huh?”

“With a woman like you, what’s the point of holding back?”

The smile on
