A Touch of Stone and Snow - Milla Vane Page 0,103

to her breasts, to her neck, before finally taking her lips, and she gasped into his mouth when his thick shaft parted the drenched furrow between her thighs.

His hips rocked, gliding his erection over her sensitized clit. In a low voice, he asked, “Are you still pledged to me?”

Breathlessly she nodded. “I am.”

“Will you take my cock this full moon?”

She would take it now. “Please.”

He parted her lips in a sultry kiss, every thrust of his tongue rekindling the fire below as he slowly, relentlessly fucked the seam of her cunt. Desperate for more pressure, she begged, “Let me ride you.”

“Not this night.” His voice roughened as he surged harder against her. “Soon I will have you in this way, but feeling the stretch of your sheath around my cock as I fuck into you again and again, unrestrained, and use your cunt as I was meant to.”

So badly she needed that. Wrapping her legs around his waist, she arched beneath him, meeting his thrusts, though each one was too much, his erection sliding and rubbing over her clit until the world flared bright again and she came, crying out as her inner muscles squeezed and squeezed on nothing.

With a guttural moan, Aerax buried his face in her throat and his big body shook above hers, and between them she felt the pulsing of his shaft and the hot splash of his seed.

Then his weight settled over her, his forearms braced alongside her shoulders, and he lowered his head for a leisurely kiss that curled her toes all over again.

She held him tight, fingers threading through his hair. On ragged breaths she told him, “I want every day ahead to move so slowly. Unless they are between us and the full moon. Those, I want to hurry past.”

Except they would also hurry the day of the first snow.

Her heart ached softly when he said, “It matters not how quick or slow the days are. No matter what happens in the battle ahead, and even if every day afterward is spent with you, never will there be enough of them.”

“So no more time will we waste,” she whispered.

Not even a moment.

CHAPTER 22

AERAX

We should probably speak of our intentions for when we reach the monastery later this day.”

“Intentions?” Aerax glanced over at Lady Junica, who had ridden up alongside him, with Degg just behind. A morning chill still clouded their breaths, for it seemed that in the past days as the road had climbed higher into the mountains, they’d also been chasing the last of winter. “This night is the full moon. I have but one intention this evening, and no part of it includes monks.”

Her brow furrowed. “The full moon? What has that to do with . . .” Her gaze moved to Lizzan, who rode at Aerax’s other side, and her mouth rounded in realization.

Riding only a pace behind Lizzan, Kelir abruptly urged his mount forward, looking to Aerax in disbelief. “A moon night?” He shook his head. “Which of you is the virgin?”

Lizzan grinned and guided her horse slightly to the side as Kelir settled in between them, though a half stride behind. “Both.”

The warrior looked to both of them in astonishment before his expression firmed and he nodded decisively. “You will need an inn,” he declared.

“And if we cannot find one,” said Lizzan, “the stable will do.”

Aerax nodded. “Or the center of the market square.”

“Or any wall that will support our weight.”

“Or atop this horse.”

Lizzan gave him such a look that, if the moon had been high, he would have dragged her into the saddle that instant. Though nearly a full turn had passed since they’d decided not to waste another moment—and they had not—it mattered not at all how many times they’d fallen asleep together, satisfied. Each morning Aerax woke hungrier for her than ever before.

Though it was not always morning when he awoke. Every night, Aerax and Caeb slept with her between them, yet Lizzan still jerked out of sleep, skin slick with cold sweat and her breath racing. Many times, comforted in Aerax’s arms and with Caeb’s purr at her back, she slipped into sleep again. Other times, she kissed Aerax so desperately that he knew it was not only more pleasure that she sought, but also for him to help chase away what haunted her in dreams.

He cared not at all that she sometimes used him in the same way she’d used her ale. He would be anything for her—and at least it was
