Minutes ticked by and her frown grew gloomier.

“Take your panties off, Little One,” Liam said softly next to her, breaking the silence, but not soft enough that only she could hear him.

The blush in Olivia's cheeks, which had remained since she stepped into his study earlier that evening, turned into a painful scorch. Immediately she whipped her head up to find the driver's features visible in the rearview mirror.

Usually when he made that kind of request, the partition separating them from the driver was up, giving them complete privacy. Oh God. He was serious. Her consequences would be dished out in front of the driver she had been rude to, not while they were alone in their bedroom.

“Now, do you want me to repeat my request, or are you going to refuse me?” he asked, his tone so gentle he could be asking her if she preferred strawberry jam over marmalade.

But then again, he had never done anything to make her even think of saying it. But now she contemplated using her safe word. Yet the thought didn't sit right with her. Not now when her life was perfect, and she owed it all to Liam. Her husband.

Liam had assured her from day one, he would only give her what she was capable of handling. And he had stayed true to his word. She may have had a moment of doubt in her abilities, but then she'd remember his words, and if he thought she could do it, then she could.

But the other reason she stopped
