Tap Out (Reaper's Den Book One) - Nikki Mays Page 0,27
of me. With my knees on either side of his hips, I’m grinding down on his impressive erection that’s getting harder by the second.
I’m about to remove my shirt when I hear. “Hey Dad, I forgot my wallet here. Oh shit, my bad!”
I fly off of Danny like my ass is on fire. I turn to see one of his daughters standing there. I’m not sure which one since I don’t plan on looking at her face right now, or ever again. Oh my God! One of his kids just caught me dry fucking their father.
Danny has a deer in headlights look that is absolutely no help.
Becca, I’m pretty sure it’s Becca, looks between us and raises her arms. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt anything.”
“Nope!” I squeak out quickly while grabbing all of my shit up into my arms. “No, you didn’t interrupt anything. I was just checking out, I mean checking on your dad’s incision. And now I’m leaving.” I hightail it out of there before either of them can say a word.
As I’m closing the door I hear Danny say “Fuck!” With Becca replying, “yeah, I know that’s what I just interrupted.” I shut the door as Danny was beginning to speak again. I have no need to hear anything else. I practically run into my car, start it, and pull away so quickly that I’m pretty sure that it looks like I’m stealing my own car.
I don’t take a full breath until I’m three blocks away. “Shit, shit, shit ,shit, shit!” I bang my hands against the steer wheeling as I stop at a red light. I’m sure that the person next to me thinks that I’m insane but whatever. I was just caught making out with my ex by one of his daughters no less. Seriously, how has this shit show become my life?
Okay, I’m okay. I just need to calm down and realize that this isn’t the end of the world. Just another little speed bump of life.
I definitely should not have been drying humping Danny in the first place. Honestly, I’m lucky that she did walk in when she did. At least we didn’t end up having sex, regardless of how amazing it would’ve been. That would have been a horrible idea and would’ve crushed my heart even more.
Nope, this is totally a lot better. Only made a tiny mistake instead of a big one.
I sure as hell can learn from this mistake and make sure that I am never alone with Danny ever again! Obviously, I don’t have the willpower to keep my hands to myself when it’s just us. All I need to do is to make sure that there is always a buffer if I have to be around him. But after this, I’m going to double my efforts to make sure that I never see him. I’m just so, so weak where Danny is concerned.
I pull over to the side of the road and grab my phone out of my purse. I would love to call Aimee or Brad about this, but they’ll just tell me to go back over to his house and to finish what we started. They’re my best friends but the worst ones to go to for advice right now.
I scroll through my phone and my finger stops on Kealy’s number. Her and I have gotten pretty close recently. I also know that she’s off today as well.
I tap the green button and listen as it rings a few times.
“Hello?” Kealy says after a few rings.
“Hey Kea.” I pause for a moment and then just go for it. “Girl, I need a drink or twenty and someone impartial to listen to me.”
“Aren’t you off today? Why would you need that many drinks if you haven’t had to deal with Karen?” Valid question, especially since everyone knows how bad Karen treats me.
“I kinda, sorta got caught dry humping my ex by his teenage daughter.” I mumble out in a rush hoping that she doesn’t catch all of that.
“Ahhhh, you might want to stop at the liquor store on your way over to my place. I only have one bottle of wine and I have a feeling that isn’t going to be enough.”
I nod my head before realizing that we’re on the phone. “Yeah, I’ll be sure to grab a few more. See you in a few.”
“I’ll order a pizza and some cheesy bread to soak some of that up.”
“You’re a lifesaver!” I gush. But seriously,
